Karoo Donkey Sanctuary - Fund Raising

As previously reported here on ABC both by myself and Bob, and as Karma saw on Carte Blanche, and Peter Choice of Choice Carriers can attest to, this is a bunch of people doing some really sterling and much needed work in the rescue and providing homes of and for donkeys. (and more recently..horses)

My girl and I are visiting the sanctuary on 24 February as I will be blogging about it on Steemit to try and get more attention focussed on the plight of these animals... and I would really like to give a donation from the good people on ABC ...The Clanners.

So a couple of endeavors over the next two weeks ...

Thanks to Bryanston Auctioneers who have donated some more of the excellent books celebrating Turfonteins centenary. This is a leather bound book and is fascinating reading for us old toppies..(I will post pictures below). The first 10 people to donate R300 or more to the fund (via my account..reference: KDS-and your ABC name. eg: KDS-Magi) will be contacted for delivery address and the you will receive a book.
Any other donations will also be gladly accepted ..use the same reference starting with KDS.

I will open another thread under the banner KDS - Auction where I will be auctioning off a stunning little piece of racing memorabilia.. A Hallmark Silver trophy which was presented to the winning jockey of the Gold Cup in 1938 (Help Naresh..)..P. Buckham

Thirdly we will be having a buy-in competition next weekend with a pool boost of R750 (Thanks and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Bob) where the entry fee will be R150 .. with R50 going towards the KDS>

Magi, will you be accepting Pounds for donations or the auction? Sure I remember someone always letting us know how much they have???

Lounger looks like it's made for men of slender build or women
