Looking back at the recent history of this topic, it suddenly begins to make sense of how pressure forced them to start making big mistakes and acting irrationally

Well then I am in the soup . I actually feel sorry Australia wont be far enough for them , my partner that bought in 50/50 only believes in Concrete Boots and Rivers .
Do know how I am going to explain this one to him . First horse he bought as well and cant wait for it to run:)
Wow I also wonder what Azzie is going to say to all the owners he stuck them in to the horses that did not go to the sale . Never mind all the one you see running in his own colours. Here is big trouble if you guys are correct.

Earning nett salary of 60k odd and buying horses for three, four bar sooner or later people going to notice your lifestyle that you live with your salary you earn something is not right.
The thing is as mentioned earlier if he bought the horses through illegal proceeds and then later sold it can the horses be confiscated from the new owner and the horse returned to the orginal owner and the amount that was originally paid returned to the company that as laid the charges. Going to be sleepless nights for the breeders, took him for a mug and could be at the receiving end after all of it....

WL I have to also say that the liquidators will have to prove that VV knew at the time of selling he was in shit, but it seems from the reports that he must have known the writing was on the wall.
Best advice is for your mate/acquaintance to get to a good lawyer with his story very quickly to try and do damage control
Such sad news for many people
It does however appear that he had many fixed assets and thus there should be a reasonable return in the rand for many creditors

What about the people that sold them horses and unwittingly took stolen money for them ???
If people that bought horses will have to return them then wont the people who sold them horses also have to return telkom their cash...

Whoever bought at the dispersal sale has nothing to worry about. The task of trying to reposess these horses is insurmountable. Do you actually think the liquidator will round them all up, feed them and then try and sell them again ? Won't happen.

They can only be held accountable if it can be proven that they knew it was stolen money.

Alittle off the topic but in the 1990s Dr Hilda Podlas lost all horses I think because of bankruptcy or liquidation. Her horse's ran in the pink and black silks.
American Pharoah owner Ahmed Zayat, his horses was under the banner Zayat stables which survived bankruptcy proceedings before the triple crown winner came along.
