....it would be hard to put one self in an others shoes....but this saga could have been much worse for all concerned if VV decided to keep things going and not announced that he was getting out.....imagine the catastrophe if a trainer was sitting with all those horses and a just a single months keep unpaid and then this news breaks.....with that in mind.....now in those shoes...total relief as I'm then sure to sleep much better....

....on the other hand.... the rapid and almost graceful exit(so it seemed at the time)....with dispersal sale....and the so called "assets" now all over the show.....who knows, who knew, what and when... :whistle:

This will make a great movie script - I do hope he was more prudent when buying property as he overpaid often for horses... I wonder if he punted?

Hard to believe this story. Both husband and wife looked well educated. Why did they not just put the money away overseas. It seems the racing passion and love of the limelight was also their downfall.

....I doubt if any of his purchases made any sense at all.....the article breaking the story seems to indicate that he was buying or planning to buy horses in Ozz and had set up companies to feed funds to do so.....but I think that even the odd Ozz horse he bought were through local sales.....

.....it will take some time to uncover any elaborate schemes.... if there were any at all....were used to move funds offshore..... :blink:
