Nearly any sport bet across any sport that you wager a bet on, the odds are generally 1 point lower and some instances as much as 2.5 points lower in South Africa. We are getting short changed here in South Africa by the bookmakers and before even the game starts we are losers.

For eg.

If 5 Teams are layed in an accumulator at odds of 5/10 then the multiple = 6.59 but in actual fact they are at 6/10 it works out = 9.48

That is a difference of 2.89 which equates to R28.9 for every R10 wagered

I agree. When you are betting 5/6 either way in an over/under market it is daylight robbery. Don't know if these prices are only in SA or like this overseas as well?

Most the bookies take their odds from a third party and tweak, they should be based on UK odds

What does happen sometimes is that odds are not updated when things happen to effect the odds like , player injury etc ( but I would imagine this would mean there would also be value ? )

Ps their clients have access to the internet and would complain like feck if they were getting ripped off
