"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Wednesday 11th June Workings..

Afternoon,

This afternoon completed and went as follows..

The 1st runner we wanted 2.9 and with getting a well supported 2.58 - 2.66 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.66 max. The price then went for a big drift and out to our own price of 3.2 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten after a battle and so a good result........

The 2nd runner we wanted 1.5 and with drifting to around 1.55 on arrival and then there being a withdrawal and 4% reduction, we now wanted a lay price of 1.48. The price was a little high and then came down to us and slightly beyond, so we had a lay at 1.48. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running, so got away with it....

The 3rd runner we wanted 1.7 and with being around 2.66 on arrival and just getting bigger, we never see anywhere near our lay price at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner looked to have won a photo finish, but the result went the other way and so heart attack saved, but 'one that got away in hindsight'.....

The 4th runner we wanted 2.32 and with being around 3.0 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten after a battling finish, so ran well, but 'one that got away in hindsight'.......

The 5th runner we wanted 1.8 and with being around 2.08 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, it was a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so a good leave.....

The 6th runner we wanted 2.2 and with being around 2.52 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner came in 2nd after a photo finish, so heart attack saved, but 'one that got away in hindsight'.........

The 7th runner we wanted 2.2, but a non runner and 55 reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.14. The price had drifted to around 2.48 on arrival and never came down to us, so a race for race to race players to avoid. The runner went and got beat after a battle, so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though......

The 8th runner we wanted 3.1, but a non runner and 3.8% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.02 (3.0 nearest exchange price). The price was around 2.96 on arrival and so we had a lay at around 2.96. The lay was beaten and so a good result......

The 9th runner we wanted 2.7 and with drifting to around 2.78 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price again and race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten after a close finish, so yet another battle and the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though.....

The 10th runner we wanted 3.1, but a non runner and 2.8% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.04 (3.05 nearest exchange price). The price was around 2.98 on arrival and so we had a lay at around 2.98. The horse was then withdrawn, so money back and on to the next runner...

The 11th and final runner we wanted 2.0 and with being around 1.88 on arrival and slightly shorter, we had a lay at 1.88 max. The lay was beaten after yet another battling finish today and so a good result....

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED..

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won one target.........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and then went on to hit their targets on their 3rd lay (the 8th runner), So with that leaving then an insufficient amount left to go for another strategy/target, they end the session winning one target........

'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that bought a tiny profit.........They then had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 1.48 max, but a poor result see them go a little behind..........They then had their 2nd lay (the 8th runner) at 2.96 and a good result see them break level......They were then level with only one potential lay left, so always advised to take that and run with no room at all now for any error. So all builders end level...

Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target players. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £10

Total bank now £410

1st lay £102.50 to win the remaining £90 @ 1.48 max. Result negative. Lose £43

Total bank now £367

2nd lay £122 to recoup the £33 @ 2.96. Result positive. Win £33

Total bank now £400

That's where they ended with just one potential lay left and no room for any error, so always advised to take the levels.

Overall result. Level.

**********************************************

Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target players. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £8

Total bank now £408

1st lay £81.60 to win the £92 needed @ 1.48 max. Result negative. Lose £44

Total bank now £364

2nd lay £91 to recoup the £36 @ 2.96. Result positive. Win £36

Total bank now £400

They too had just the one potential lay remaining and so with being levels and now no room at all for any error, they take the levels as always advised.

Overall result. Level

Traders either won, or broke level on all their trades and so well played guys..

So it was drifters that were our biggest thorn in the side this afternoon, but we did all we could and either hit the targets, or broke level at worst, so well played. Speak soon with this evening's workings...

All the races were priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 10.10am.

That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. Never easy and we never expect it to be with that unexposed nature out in force leaving us vulnerable to big drifters and gambles, but we'll play our value prices and hope to see them pay the way. We do have enough about us to warrant going into battle, so although it's looking a bit tough, we still have every reason to go into battle. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings..
