A thread for your fav sporting moment ever
8 years 3 months ago - 8 years 3 months ago
Mine is Arsenal winning the title at Anfield in 1989. They needed to beat Liverpool, who were a fantastic team those days by two clear goals to win the title. It was the last day of the season, going into the last minute of the game Arsenal were 1-0 up still needing that 2nd goal. Take a look what happened

Good thread Chicken..
Red Rum winning the Grand National for the 3rd time was iconic and to prove I'm not to biased.
United winning that 1999 Champions League final was unbelievable.
Chelsea winning it was my second favourite but my favourite was....

Ranieri sacked 296 days after winning the Premier League.
Wenger still in a job 4,688 days after winning the Premier League.
It don't make sense..

Unfair that Raneiri has been sacked. This is what football has become since all the billions have been ploughed into it. Just wrong, well at least he will get a big payout and will get another job if he wants. Your club love to sack managers so you should not be commenting on Wenger.

No doubt the 95 World Cup stands out above everything else.
What a moment. I cannot explain it in words.

99 champs league final gives me goosebumps everytime but i was too young to watch the 99 live so it has to be 2008 champs league final. To see your team winning the biggest prize in Europe is special - especially as how hard it's been to win the damn thing since. twice we've ended up meeting the best version of Barcelona :pinch:

Boy do I remember Arsenal winning the league in 1989. I even think it was on a Friday.
