On Tuesday morning [Feb 28 ] the tour group will rendezvous at Greyville racecourse (Gate 8 ) at 6:30am.
At 6:45am there will be a light breakfast served, tea/ coffee and muffins will be available at the members office before departure to the Summerveld Training Centre Clubhouse.
At 7:40am once arrived at the clubhouse breakfast will be served whilst watching the work riders and horses train during the beautiful sunrise

At 8:30am we then depart to the SA Jockey Academy and visit with training master Laurence O’Donoghue who will take you on an educational tour on the process to becoming a jockey. You will also learn how the Academy is run.
At 9:30am we depart to Summerveld Training Centre for an intimate tour of the facility. You will visit the stables and interact with the horses in the stables and the stable staff members.
At 11:00am we leave to
Summerhill Stud, arriving at 12:30 pm you will be taken on a tour by the stud’s Ammorette Kramer and learn more about breeding racehorses and horse care. You will also be taken through the history on the School of Excellence. And interact with Champion Stallions like Cape Town Noir, Act Of War, AP Arrow and Willow Magic.

At 14:15pm we visit the prestigious Hartford House 5 Star Restaurant for a hearty lunch prepared by Chef Constantijn Hahndiek.
At 15:15pm we depart for Durban with an expected arrival time at Greyville of approximately 17:00pm

that is a really good package.

Wish this happened more often. Tuesday I am unable to attend. Though I would love too.
