"Group" RESULTS - 'Sunday' 15 June Workings.

Afternoon,
This afternoon completed and went as follows..
The 1st runner we wanted 2.7 and with being around 2.46/48 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.48 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.0 and beyond, so a chance of a 'free' lay for builders and traders. The lay/trade was beaten when fell at the last, so hope he's OK, but a good result financially......
The 2nd runner we wanted 1.8 and with being a big 3.1 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see anywhere near our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so a very nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave....
The 3rd runner we wanted 1.8 and with being around 1.94 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond right near the off, we had a lay at 1.8 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....
The 4th runner we wanted 1.6 and with being around 1.51 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 1.51 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders again easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....
The 5th runner we wanted 3.1 and with drifting to around 3.3 on arrival and only getting bigger and bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though....
The 6th runner we wanted 3.45 and with being around 3.05 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 3.05 max. The lay went and won and showed what an improving horse he is, so the way it goes.....
The 7th runner we wanted 2.6 and with getting around 2.56 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.56. The price then drifted out to our own price of 2.9 and beyond, so a chance for traders and layers to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result....
The 8th runner we wanted 1.7 and with being around 1.91 on arrival and not coming down enough, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so 'one that got away in hindsight'..
The 9th and final runner we wanted 2.5 and with getting around 2.38 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 2.38 max. The price then went back the other way and out to our own price of 2.8 and beyond, so a chance for builders and traders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result...........
WELL PLAYED/BATTLED..............(3 from the first 4 (75%) went and won - 4 from the first 6 (66.66%) went and won - and 5 from the 9 (55.55%) in total went and won, so a very tricky and tough session with those drifters not helping and we did a good enough job).
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Ended Level...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and after a good start they then found themselves in a battle. They ended up needing to recoup around £76 on their 5th and final lay (the 7th runner) and a good result see them end the session levels...
'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that bought a tiny profit.........They then had their 1st lay (the 3rd runner) at 1.8, but a poor result see them go behind...........They then had their 2nd lay (the 4th runner) at 1.51, but another poor result see them go a bit more behind..........Then came their 3rd lay (the 6th runner) at 3.05, but yet another poor result see them go further adrift...........They then had a 'free' lay (the 7th runner) that bought a tiny profit........Then finished with another 'free' lay (the 9th runner) that bought a tiny profit and so they ended the session conceding between 1.1 and 2.25 targets...

Traders had to concede a little on the 6th runner at 3.05 max, but all others see them win a bit or break level and so they end the session around level........
So a tough session again today and if it wasn't for those pesky drifters we'd have done very well. Anyhow it was as it was and so although we did a good job to see most of us break level, builders had to suffer a little for playing the safe way, but they know that when building banks it's a very steady process. Have a good evening and speak soon..
Marc.
