IMO she wasn't going well last time out and wouldn't have won even if she didn't get interfered with. That said she will improve with racing and looks the one to beat tomorrow. We have a strong bunch of 3 year old Fillies this year. Surely Tarry with the quality of horses he had would have aimed her at bigger races if she was as good as that.

Will be a good test for her tomorrow against some seasoned campaigners.

Ziets you and I will agree to disagree about the Sandtrap where you earn your living HOWEVER I have to acknowledge the balls it took to post this thread two days before the race. Good for you.

Having had a look at the fillies second start I cannot have your theory that she was badly ridden. To my eye she struggled and unless something was found and has now been corrected, I can not see her winning tomorrow. I hope for your sake she comes home lonely!

In to 13/10 now

I`m only worried that Tarry know`s his bacon, if she was really that good she would have been campaigned at the Triple Tiara races

That's how you keep her under the radar.

The owner is not concerned about winning MR 82 races - Grade 1 horses race in Gr 1 races and she would have been entered in those if she was showing that ability (Smiling Blue Eyes is owned by the same owner and her path was Maiden Gr3 Gr2 Gr 1) ... no doubt she suffered interference last time and on that will go close today but a stretch to think that she has been hidden for a tilt at Gr 1 races as those that best suite her are at level weights so no need to try to protect the rating as that rating will determine if she get a run in those races

For me I agree that she has plenty potential, but would need to win convincingly today to have any chance of being considered for the Woolavington; the booking of Strydom I think is an indication that Bling is probably looking to ride Smiling Blue Eyes in the KZN feature(s) as I don't think that Safe Harbour will make the KZN trip as she has been on the boil campaigning in features from the beginning of the year - so the question is, who is the better one SR or SBE ? Or maybe Bling has just been jocked off because of a 'indifferent' ride on SR last time and Hewitson preferred Sim-Alley Bank - who knows

Simply Royal was very impressive on debut over shorter where they went a good pace. She didn't settle initially on her next start but would have at least been in the places if not interfered with. She probably needs some pace in the race today and then will likely win (assuming she gets a clear passage).

simply royal was entered into the fillies guineas at greyville next sunday but if she accepted would have had the widest draw of 12 from 12 ..she also would have had the lowest merit rating with the next lowest at 87 and simply is a 79 ..the race is run at level weights ,,the top rated is a 103 with a few more around a 100....depending who runs in the woolavington and the restricted field size she is not guaranteed a run there
