Regarding Captain America, I too was surprised that he was not closer to the pace - maybe the intention is to run in the July

I had a bet on Saratoga Dancer earlier - after Sunday he will be carrying the same weight as last year, when beaten by The Conglomerate, who will also be running off the same weight as last year ....

Which in your opinion is what?

With all due respect, if you don't understand the difference, find another hobby ... B)

I do understand the difference, I just wanted to see what the posters opinion of the best handicapped horse was at this early stage.
Just for the record I am confident I have a better understanding than most racing folk.
I am also sure the poster can answer for themselves or is it that you just felt like being an arse this morning.

Good ... the way you asked your question could be interpreted as asking about the difference between the 'best' horse and the 'best handicapped' horse .... seems like what you are actually asking is 'which (in zsuz's opinion) is the best handicapped horse in the race?' ;)

Yes you are right. Also a lot of the runners have not earned their merit ratings over the 2200M of the July.
