Confusing stipes reports

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)Jockey P Strydom reported that he felt something amiss with QUEEN ANNE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
Trainer P A Peter was requested to report back on the condition of QUEEN ANNE on return to the stables.
When questioned regarding his ride on QUEEN ANNE, Jockey Strydom explained to the Board as she is a front running filly, he had tried to time his jump in order to get her into a handy position as soon as possible. This had not worked but he was happy with his position in the early stages as MOMO (G Lerena) had shown a lot of pace. Thereafter, at approximately the 500m, QUEEN ANNE had taken a number of awkward strides and felt uncomfortable, however, through the 400m this awkwardness had gone away and he had ridden this filly out although she had felt flat. It was Jockey Strydom’s opinion this run had followed too close to her run on 4 May 2017.

I'm reading it like , Striker felt something wrong( explanation to different run style? )

But then never felt something wrong and rode his mount out? Hence the vets won't find anything wrong :)
