"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Tuesday 17th June Workings..
16 years 11 months ago
Afternoon,
This afternoon completed and went as follows..
The 1st runner we wanted 2.0 and with being around 2.14 on arrival and then a non runner and 19.3% reduction we now wanted a lay price of 1.81. The price dropped dramatically down to us and beyond, so we had a lay at 1.81 max. The lay went and won after looking in trouble, so frustrating and the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it....
The 2nd runner we wanted 3.1 and with drifting to around 3.2 on arrival and the dropping back down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 3.1 max. The price then went for a walk out to our own price of 3.4 and above, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.....
The 3rd runner we wanted 2.9 and with being around 3.2 and not coming down to us at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so 'one that got away in hindsight'........
The 4th runner we wanted 1.46, but a non runner and 5.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.44. The price was around 1.6 on arrival and never came down to us at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so a good leave..........
The 5th runner we wanted 2.5, but a non runner and 10% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.35. The price was around 2.26 on arrival and so we had a lay at around 2.26. The price then drifted out to our own price of 2.65 ( was 2.8 before reductions) and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result......
The 6th runner we wanted 2.32, but a non runner and 5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.25. The price was around 2.1 on arrival and so we had a lay at 2.1. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it...
The 7th and final runner we wanted 2.94, but a non runner and 11.2% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.72. The price was around 2.96 on arrival and only got bigger, so with never seeing our lay price at any stage at all, it was a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten and so 'one that got away in hindsight'...
WELL PLAYED/BATTLED...........3 from the 7 (43%) went and won, so tricky and mix that with too many annoying drifters and we had to concede a tiny bit)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them)Conceded 1.1 targets........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and then after a poor start they went to their 4th lay (the 6th runner) to hit the target, but ended up conceding 1.1 targets on the session...
'Bank builder' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 1.81 max, but a poor result see them go behind early........They then had a 'free' lay (the 2nd runner) that bought a tiny profit..........Then another 'free' lay (the 5th runner) that bought another tiny profit..........They then had their 2nd lay (the 6th runner) at 2.1, but a poor result see them go a bit more behind.....That's where they left it and so a little loss of 1.4 targets on the session...

Traders either won, or broke level on all their trades and so well played..
So another tough session and although a tiny loss, it's never nice and those drifters keep stopping us progressing. Anyhow, that's life and the game and speak soon..
Marc.

Morning,
This afternoon's workings, as follows..
2.15 Thirsk. SCENIC PASS (2.14)
Our price 13/10 (2.3) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.0 or under we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that a 'little' more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues concerning this race
2.50 Thirsk. MOTOR HOME (3.05)
Our price 12/5 (3.4) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.1 or under. *Traders be aware, that although lightly raced, he has shown he can lead or race very prominently, so no surprise to see those tactics applied this afternoon - Also please note that a 'little' more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues concerning this race*
3.05 Ascot. FLEETING SPIRIT (3.15)
Our price 11/5 (3.2) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.9 or under we'll go in for a lay.
3.45 Ascot. HENRY-THE-NAVIGATOR (1.65)
Our price 4/6 (1.67) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.46 or under we'll go in for a lay.
4.00 Thirsk. MAGHYA (2.42)
Our price 9/5 (2.
and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.5 or under.
4.35 Thirsk. HATTON FLIGHT (2.22)
Our price 13/8 (2.625) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.32 or under. *Traders be aware, that although he can race numerous ways, it wouldn't be any surprise to see him race prominently if there's no pace on*
5.10 Thirsk. MY GACHO (3.2)
Our price 9/4 (3.25) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.94 or under we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that he has a tendency to race very prominently in his races*
All the races were priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 09.55am
That's what we have to work on for this afternoon then. A mixture of race make ups, so enough to keep us interested even though there's not that many. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings..
