They have had a short interview with him post race and what i could understand was that one of the runners in front of him nearly came down and he had to help his ride along which destroyed any chance of a good run but he did say that he enjoyed the track although it was tricky turning right then left and that he is enjoying his time here. The interviewer did add that the weather will get better to which Lerena said i hope so. :)

If i were his agent i would have visited most of the tracks and given him a detailed analysis of each and everyone because unlike SA tracks all of them here are different. They all look the same on TV but in reality you will be shocked when seen in the flesh.

Yes, very much so. Eg Salisbury is just a straight with a spoon-like bend at the top. So over say 2400m the horses travel away from you in the opposite direction, turn in the spoon-bend and come back along the same path. :)

chicken n chips wrote: Yes its all exciting that a local guy is now racing with the big boys. But remember this is just a little countryside track on a Wednesday day evening. He will ride winners as he is well capable but lets wait until he starts getting regular rides at the big meetings before the usual "best in the world" "King Gav" etc is posted on ABC. Yes their is history of posters going overboard so i am fully entitled to have posted this post

The next michael roberts!

NEVER, there'll be only one Michael Roberts, he's not in the same league.
