Depends on what the "old fashion" was
Tories want to take the country back to the 1930s.

chicken
the factory needs to be closed down. This is because the minimum wage is the worst thing that ever happens to any country but especially a 1st world country like the UK. Don't get me wrong I think people should be paid what they deserve and slavery is not an option BUT some jobs are just not worth £8 an hour and by making £8 the minimum is skews the rest of the wages and actually has an adverse affect on jobs at that end of the market.
you can get £8 an hour stacking shelves at Tesco
or
£8 an hour looking after the vulnerable old aged in a care home.
Care homes are struggling to compete with Tesco.
then we go to my industry where we cannot hire an apprentice or start someone off in the fibre optic industry because I have to pay them £8 an hour while they training.

Problem is that if there was no law to pay minimum wage then people would be getting paid 3 quid an hour by unscrupulous bosses. Get your money back on Emerald Bay in the next at Turfies

Trumps secures a 110 billion dollar deal with the Saudis to provide them with arms, arms that the Saudis use to bomb Yemen a country who Britain sends foreign aid to. Oh the irony of it all.

Elected by the people but the West will always have a different view.
The Muslim Brotherhood won the Egyptian elections, Hamas in Gaza. These parties was elected by the people but deemed undesirable by the West. I don't like they ideologies but the fact remain they won and it was the will of the people.
The Indonesian election result was a tight affair had it not been for the blasphemy charges an ethnic Chinese Christian would have been ruling the most populus Muslim nation in the world. People are starting to vote with their conscious not based upon their religion, colour, etc.

This is never going to ever stop, problem is that we as people don't take the time or the effort to learn about other religions and the culture of other so called races. If we understood each other then we would all get along and this earth, where we all individually have such a short time on, will be a much better place

I think you (and most ) miss the point about the minimum wage. The minimum wage was set up and enforced to stop the exploitation of workers.
How in heavens name can this be applicable in my industry :
5 weeks ago Ryan arrived from South Africa to be trained as a fibre splicer. He is 34 years old. I will now work backwards from 12 months time. He has a 70% chance of making it.
So its now 20th May 2018 and Ryan has just been paid his weekly money from me. He has cleared £1400 for the week (based on average wage this last week for a splicer (fibre engineer currently working for me ((I have 6 of them))
Ryan after 1 year now knows everything, next week he will inform me that he is moving on to another firm because had he done the same work for them he would have earned £1418 for the same week. So he moves on......now back to today
Instead of paying Ryan £1 an hour for 2 months whilst I provide he with the skills to earn more than a doctor does (after 7 years training) I cannot. I am forced to pay him £8-10 an hour.
Ryan is real as is Slavi, Rafa and Gabriele. thats right 4 guys getting trained with the possibility of earning >£70k clear a year and I MUST burn money in training them.
Surely they should pay me?
