I watched the race live and I would have staked my creams that Seyaady won!

I wouldn't disagree, Chris, although if someone has 73000, do they really need to risk it all for another 730?
My guess is that this was mostly one punter, probably using a robot which had been primed to back the horse if it ever touched 1.01. I'm just glad I don't use robots on betting exchanges.

Are these not the guys that back a runner and set to lay at 1.01 to cover their erses?

Laying at 1.01 certainly won't ever do you much harm, Bob, but you still have to find someone prepared to back at those odds and the layers today found someone prepared to wade in with over 73k.

How was the horse 1/100 in running? Went off at 10/1 - was't like it was 6 clear or do they bet right up until the line? You right, probably a bot as no idiot would do their nut on that - or would they

The market remains 'in running' even after the horses have passed the past when there is a close photo finish and I guess that's what happened here and triggered the bot (if it was a bot - we'll never know for sure).

At the other end of the scale 47 quid was matched at 1000 on Captain Sharpe, the winner of the second at Hexham this evening.

You must remember that its set on the minimum of 1.01 and will give u anything better when you hit the button, i am not sure if the discombobulater is still in use?
At the time it was banned a few years back.
Good punting
