Last weekend with the one Grade 3 and one listed Race there was a poor repsponce to the races as far as runners -

Times on the day over 1200m

Race 2 Marks Glory Grooms Race 72.67
Fillies nursery Magical Wonder 73.91
Group 3 Dutch Philip 73.92

How pathetic is that.

The fillies race and Dutch Philips race were pathetic. You could see from the outset how slow the race was and Aldo was just waiting to pounce when they turned it into a sprint.

The Cape Crawl......

But what can be done about this. The punters must put the money down and prey - the stud books will show the winners in lights and yet it was not a true reflection .

In my book, trainers are the ones who should be blamed. They are too scared to have a go at the jockey or to report him to the Stipes because of the fear of retribution. Not one trainer complained to the NHRA. That says it all. The mugs at the NHRA sit in their ivory tower and enjoy sheltered employment. They are not affected.

Let a horse go fast...pull away....and manage to hold on......then all hell breaks loose

another post having a go at cape racing.all i can say is i enjoy cape racing more than any other centre in sa.at least in the cape the punter has a fair chance of winning because results are not like the lotto type in other centres.

i play horses everyday, mainly uk racing and only play certain sa centres, others i ignore and wait for my daily fix of uk racing.this season you can back a hanagan winner daily in the uk.no joking.

At least when they run the Met the maximum field can be run,not once has Kenilworth been called off due to an unsuitable pull up, unlike Greyville with the July and when it drizzles they have to call it off because of the pull up area. Joke of a race track

All done to who own the runners imo

These well bred commodities can`t be seen getting beat and devaluing their stallions
