"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Wednesday 18th June Workings..
16 years 11 months ago
Afternoon,
This afternoon completed and went as follows..
The 1st runner we wanted 1.7 and with being around 1.85 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 1.7 max. The lay had to work very hard, but ground out the win and so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it..
The 2nd runner we wanted 1.6 and with getting that on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 1.6 max. The lay came in 2nd and so a good result.....
The 3rd runner we wanted 2.7, but a non runner and 4.5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.62. The price had drifted to around 2.72 on arrival and then dropped down to us and very slightly beyond, so we had a lay at 2.62. The price then drifted out to our own price of 2.92 (was 3.0 before reductions) and so a chance of a 'free' lay for builders and traders. The lay/trade went and won a battling finish, so the way it goes, but glad of the 'free' lay now though.....
The 4th runner we wanted 2.4, but a non runner and 5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.33 (2.34 nearest exchange price). The price was around 2.22 on arrival and shortening, so we had a lay at 2.22 max. The lay went and won, so yet another favourite goes in and the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running and so got away with it....
The 5th runner we wanted 1.7, but a non runner and 14% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.6. The price was around 1.78 on arrival and only got bigger, so with never seeing our lay price, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and got beat, so the drift justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'.......
The 6th runner we wanted 2.8 and with drifting to around 2.88 on arrival and then dropping down to us ad slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.8 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.........
The 7th runner we wanted 2.44 and with being around 2.7 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage, so all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave..........
The 8th runner we wanted 1.8 and with being around 1.9 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave..........
The 9th runner we wanted 2.5 and with drifting to around 2.72 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.5 max. The lay went and won without too much fuss, so the late money spot on and the way it goes....
The 10th and final runner we wanted 2.5, but a non runner and 5.2% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.42. The price was around 3.0 on arrival, and with being over 20 minutes to the race, all strategy play complete, and just a little trading left, I'm leaving it there and so good luck traders with this runner if you get your lay price...
WELL PLAYED/BATTLED....(3 from the first 4 (75%) went and won - and 6 from the 9 (66.66%) that we played, and so very tough as expected, but we did the best we could)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Had to concede 1.97 targets...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and after a big battle they ended up recouping a little on their 5th lay (the 6th runner) and ended the session conceding 1.97 targets...
'Bank builder' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 1.7 max, but a poor result see them go behind.....They then had their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner) at 1.6 max and a good result see them break level.........They then had a 'free' lay (the 3rd runner) that only bought relief......They then had their 3rd lay (the 4th runner) at 2.22 max, but a poor result see them go behind....Then came their 4th lay (the 6th runner) at 2.8 and a good result see 4 runner builders break level....
5 runner builders needed a little more and had their 5th lay (the 9th runner) at 2.5 max,

Traders had to concede a little on the 9th runner at 2.5 max, but all others see them win a bit or break level, so they end the session either levels, or a tiny bit down, so well played with all those winners..
So we expected a tough session and it never failed to deliver! So so tough out there guys, but we dug in deep and got away with it to be honest, so although a tiny loss or levels, it was a good effort with all those winners. I'm off out this evening, so hope it goes well if you have a dabble and speak in the morning...
