Based on facts.Beau Art , Gondolier and Flaming Rock had the most runs in the July.....and each of them were victorious....with Flaming Rock winning at his first attempt.French Navy is back again this year and this could be his year for victory.....at a massive price....

has beaten many of the field in the Met - earned 400k in three graded placed runs in march ,april and may - - only unplaced run was injured in the eye- deserves his place more than most especially a horse like Black Arthur who earned the amazing amount of 32k in a year

The last time Crawford won the Cape Derby and Daily News 2000 it was Chris Van Niekerk's colours that won the July. Safe Harbour and French Navy are in with a chance.... Based on the 2 jockeys that came 1st and 2nd last year it was also the same combo in 2012 and Khumalo won it in 2013.... If Khumalo sits on either ill have a go... :blink: :silly:

i would say french navy has no chance of making top 10 in july,but then again i said heavy metal had no chance of making top 15 in july carrying 59kgs and he won.this trainer makes ordinary horses run like superstars so i believe any s tarry horse has a chance in any race, even if price,ratings and form are against the horse.this trainer is a master trainer and all his horses, no matter what price, has a serious chance of winning.
