I am sure that Dean Kannemeyer knows that the horse has made great improvement, to supplement it into the July, I have no doubt that it was the fastest finishing horse in the BW 1900, after looking at the replays a few times, and taking into consideration that the horse won today , I am sure it will get into the final July field, if so I really make it a lurker ..!,!,,,!,!!,,, . Keeping my fingers crossed

Can't see how Mr Winsome could not make the final field now. On the BW1900 alone he is 3kg's better off with Tilbury Fort for a 0,5L beating, dead level with It's My Turn and 1,5kg's better off with Elusive Silva who he beat by 1,25L. He has followed this run up with a good win in a Grade 3. On Merit Rating and current form he must tick all the boxes.

I remember watching Power King's flying finish in the 2015 Betting World 1900M, and I am of the opinion that Mr. Winsome's finish was no where nearly as impressive. Beat nothing that would make the July Field yesterday.

I am battling to see your point. Power King and Mr Winsome are two completely different horses, the only similarity is that both are trained by Dean Kannemeyer. What more would you have wanted him to do yesterday, he won the race and wasn't punished by Delpech with the July being less than 2 weeks away?

My point being that IMO, I don't believe Mr Winsome has a realistic chance of winning the July.

The 2200m will be more up his ally than the 1900m. One thing is that he would be suited to a fast run race. If he has no realistic chance then none of the horses that ran in the BW1900 would have a chance either.

I think everyone will agree all the conditions on the day of the BW 1900 were wrong so I don't think too much should be read into the results. Rather use other races to assess the form of your fancies chances in the July. I am sure both punters and trainers were scratching their heads after the running of the BW 1900.
