Hi Guys,
Fairview Poly Today:

Race1: Miss Aphrodite(9) 14-10 is course and distance suited and better drawn. She shows pace and will have the better of the favourite Pepper Oak(10) 14-10 at the finish. PO also shows good amount of pace but I think she will be using it too much to get over from the draw + the fact that she has never been on the poly before. Ring O Var(1) 5-1 will be in the places.

Race 2: Dancing Ruga(1) 9-2 will beat the odds on favourite Mambo Tango(3) 5-10. Look at the Blue Castle and Trotska formline. DR beat her by short head going 3 or 4 wide over 1200m and the trotska formline she finished just behind MT 0.25lengths also going wide. This distance will suit DR more than it will suit MT + she is a little better drawn than those 2 formlines I mentioned. Lumiere Verto(4) 14-1 should make the places.

Race 3: Fort Ross(2) 17-10 Blinkers on for the first time and that will make a winning difference. I think the last run he was rushed into going to the lead then settled into 2nd all the way then ran out of steam over 2200m. This 1900m will suit him + will settle even better with the blinkers and has a better draw. BEST BET ON THE CARD

Race 4: Love Everlasting(15) 11-1 This horse I like a bit and is 3.5kg better off with the favourite Morethanthat(6) 33-10 for a 3.75 length beating after being slow away 3L, and on top of that is better drawn than that particular run. Elusive Rose(1) 3-1 came out and one after that run where she was 6th 7,0 behind 3,25L behind Love Everlasting. Gimme Now(3) 25-1 & Van Dam’s Force(13) 10-1 are the others I like for outsiders in a VERY OPEN RACE.

Race 5: Consonance(3) 15-10 Last run was very unlucky not to win, was baulked at a crucial stage 250m from home. On top of that a horse called Bonne Vie 2nd in that formline has come out and won and the 5th horse Lotus Elan has come out and won TWICE.

Race 6: Off To Gaul(3) 7-1 This one I like today is better off at the weights with Track-King(1) 7-2 (6.5kg). Man From Japan(6) 12-1 is drawn close to Greenacres Mall and 1600m a little short otherwise I would have made him a big runner. Phoenix Rising(9) 5-1 ran a good race behind Placido over a distance too short and this 1600m will suit him down to the ground. Juds Express(14) 16-1 is improving in the province and again another who will appreciate the 1600m. Still droping in the ratings and VD Merwe will get the best out of this filly. VERY OPEN RACE AGAIN

Race 7: Varonella(9) 8-1 ran an approved run behind Vasity Cup(4) 28-10 (2.9 lengths) and is 7kg better off with the appie claiming. This appie has been winning at this centre lately and I expect him to guide this horse home with a postage stamp. Kingoftheworld(1) 14-1 should run well with Stable companion Favour’s Pride(2) 5-1 which won on Friday and will carry extra weight than carded. Keep an eye out for Vous Et Var(3) 10-1 which finished 5.30 lengths behind on debut at this course but on the grass. Has run on poly before in Natal so improvement expected and we know how Ndlovu has been winning for the GREEF stable. Sweetchild O Mine(6) 6-1 has been given an 8 pound penalty for last win so will be outclassed. ANOTHER OPEN RACE

Race 8: Beau Var(2) 11-2 has a good draw and on the Zip Line formline has the beating of Patty Cake(7) 10-1. A whole 3kg better off for a 1.5 length beating. Party Tibbs(1) 9-1 was 1.75 behind Black Jade same as Patty cake as they dead heated but patty cake is 2kg better off. Rippit Whippet(14) 11-2 has a wide draw but ran a good 2nd behind Wicked Lady Jane on Friday. Zanzibar Beat(3) 5-2 only escaped with a 3 pound penalty so can follow up again especially with a good draw. Silva Key(6) 7-1 should be closer to her on their last run. All in all this is a tough card for some good payouts expected.

Good Racing
