Lenferna's selections

Race 1
Preview: MIZIARA ran on really well last time and despite wanting more ground can go very close here. She is still learning what racing is all about but is a progressive sort and can win. ON THE BOUNCE is coming along the right way and ran well with blinkers last time – the blinkers stay on today and another big run can be expected. ROSE HILL has not missed the money since she started racing and should win very soon. CELESTINA won her maiden narrowly in Gauteng last time and could follow up if taking to the poly. (Warren Lenferna 4-5-6-1)

Race 2
Preview: BIG BEAR made a smart debut at Turffontein and looks to be the one they all have to beat here. He tries the poly and if taking to it – should win. OLIGARCH relished the poly last time improving to run very well. His stable is in form and more improvement can be expected from him again – big runner. MIGHTY VALDIE has placed in both his starts and with Anton Marcus in the saddle cannot be ignored. VOLCANIC SUNSET has a chance but of the Sean Tarry runners, I do prefer Big Bear. (Warren Lenferna 2-8-5-12)

Race 3
Preview: JUST VOGUE ran second behind Effortless Reward last time whom seems to be very talented and is very quick. She gets a neat draw and has to be given serious consideration for the win position. SISTER COSMOS relishes the poly and should once again run very well – she is seldom far off the action. INYATI showed last time that she may well be an out and out sprinter and based on that run, has a strong each way chance. WE’RE WATCHING YOU was scratched at the start the other day but has been knocking hard at the door recently – she should win another race very soon. (Warren Lenferna 2-6-9-7)

Race 4
Preview: AMAZON KING was well fancied in the betting market last time and had to come from a very long way back to finish a good fourth. He goes well on the surface and from an okay draw could set the record straight today – he is the firm first choice. BARBEL RUN is clearly better than his last run suggests and if he overcomes the bad draw, should be right there. KINGSTON BOY, AL CIBERANO and SCENT OF THE TIGER will be worth including in the quartet but they might all have to run some to beat the first choice. (Warren Lenferna 2-9-1-6)

Race 5
Preview: BREAKFAST CLUB is in winning form and has confidently been selected to record the hat trick. CUTTING EDGE gets the services of Anthony Delpech and has a strong chance. DANTE’S LEGACY is way better than his last run shows and he can bounce right back to best form here – he looks to be the value/lurker in this race. SECRET SUCCESS is ultra consistent and overdue his second career win. (Warren Lenferna 4-1-8-11)

Race 6
Preview: HEAPS OF FUN is all class and should be very tough to beat here. STRATEGIC MOVE the stable mate also must be factored into all bets – she, too has a big chance. CRYSTAL BALL ran on well last time in a tough Pinnacle race and based on that – has to be given a serious place chance here. WELL IN FLIGHT more than likely needed her come back run last time and should be much better for the run – she has ability and cannot be ignored. (Warren Lenferna 1-2-7-3)

Race 7
Preview: A tough race but KAHULA looks to be the one they all have to beat. Her last run was very good but she will have to overcome her bad draw today – if she does, she should go very close to winning. THE KING OF RANDOM is another with a bad draw but his form is consistent and he is no doubt one of the leading lights here. CIPHER and THE POET also have good form and must be included. (Warren Lenferna 4-11-9-8)

Race 8
Preview: DAWN CALLING takes on the boys here but comes into the race with a very light weight of only 50kg’s which is hugely in her favour. She has ability and always runs honestly – she gets a good draw and has a very strong each way claims. ROMANY PRINCE starts from the best gate and brings some solid Gauteng form into the race – Anthony Delpech rides and this horse is a serious runner. MATADOR MAN must be included in most bets as his chances are bright and NO WORRIES who has won this race twice before ran well last time and will be going all out to win it for the third time – respect. (Warren Lenferna 13-4-11-1)

Race 9
Preview: DOUBLE CLUTCH has ability and is much better than his run in the Lonsdale – he gets the services of Anton Marcus and is the winning selection. Trainer Paul Lafferty has his string in fine form. HYAKU is a six time winner and can certainly get into the action as well as FANTASY VIEW (both from the Sean Tarry stable) FASHION TALK reverts to the poly and is far from out of it – include in the quartet. (Warren Lenferna 1-2-6-7)

Which double budd?

It can be HEAPS OF FUN if HYAKU can win. We will perhaps have NO WORRIES.
