"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Friday 20th June Workings..

Afternoon,

This afternoon completed and went as follows...

The 1st runner we wanted 3.5 and with getting 3.45/5 on arrival, we had a lay at 3.5 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.8 and beyond, so a chance for builders and traders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.....

The 2nd runner we wanted 1.9 and with being around 1.88 and shortening on arrival, we had a lay at 1.88 max. The lay looked in trouble, but then dug deep to get the win, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....

The 3rd runner we wanted 3.3 and with being a well supported 2.72 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.72. The lay went and won, so the way it goes........

The 4th runner was a non runner, so on to the next runner..

The 5th runner we wanted 2.32 and with drifting to around 2.54 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.32 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result........

The 6th runner we wanted 2.4 and with being around 3.3 on arrival and not coming anywhere near our lay price at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave........

The 7th runner we wanted 2.8, but a non runner and 3.8% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.73. The price was around 2.72 on arrival and shortening, so we had a lay at 2.72 max. The lay came in 2nd after a very close finish, so a good result..........

The 8th runner we wanted 1.6 and with being around 1.89 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave.......

The 9th runner we wanted 2.7 and with being around 3.7 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage, we all had to avoid another race. The runner was beaten and so the drift justified and one that got away in hindsight...

The 10th runner we wanted 2.6 and with being around 2.58 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.58. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....

The 11th runner we wanted 1.36 and with being around 1.46 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave.......

The 12th runner we wanted 3.0, but a non runner and 5.2% reduction we now wanted a lay price of 2.92. There was then another non runner and 2.9% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.84. The price had drifted to around 2.96 on arrival and only got bigger, so we never see our lay price again and so race to racers had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr!. Early traders happy though.......

The 13th and final runner we wanted 2.9 and with being around 2.7 on arrival we had a lay at around 2.7. The lay went and won, so yet another favourite goes in and the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it...

WELL PLAYED BATTLED...............(2 from the first 3 (66.66%) went and won - 3 from the first 5 (60%) went and won - 4 from the first 7 (57%) - 6 from the first 10 (60%) went and won - and 7 from the 12 (58.5%) in total (1 Nr) went and won, so yet another tough day for layers, but we battled well)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Had to concede 1 target.............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and after a fair start, they then found themselves level after their 4th lay (the 5th runner) and so took the levels with now no room at all for error...........They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 7th runner and after a decent start, they then had another battle and ended up 1 target down after their 3rd and final lay (the 13th runner)....

'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that bought a tiny profit.........They then had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 1.88 max, but a poor result see them go behind...........They then had their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.72, but another poor result see them go further behind..........

Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £10

Total bank now £410

1st lay £102.50 to win the remaining £90 @ 1.88 max. Result negative. Lose £79

Total bank now £331

2nd lay £110 to recoup as much of the £69 @ 2.72. Result negative. Lose £110

Total bank now £220

3rd lay £110 to recoup as much of the £180 @ 2.32 max. Result positive. Win £83

Total bank now £303

4th lay £303 to recoup the £97 @ 2.72 max. Result positive. Win £97

Total bank now £400

Overall result. Level.

****************************************

Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £8

Total bank now £408

1st lay £81.60 to win the remaining £92 @ 1.88 max. Result negative. Lose £81

Total bank now £327

2nd lay £81 to recoup as much of the £73 @ 2.72. Result negative. Lose £81

Total bank now £246

3rd lay £82 to recoup as much of the £154 @ 2.32 max. Result positive. Win £62

Total bank now £308

4th lay £154 to recoup the £92 @ 2.72 max. Result positive win £90

Total bank now £398

So with being around levels and only one potential lay left, they end it there with now no room at all for error.

Overall result. Levels.

'Traders' had to concede a little on the 3rd runner at 2.72 max, but all others went their way, or see them break level, so they end around levels and that's a decent effort with so many winners again..

So builders end levels after a very tough start and they'll take that and look towards this evening. Rollers had to concede 1 target and although frustrating is this period, they also know they have to limit things when it's so tough and they did it well this afternoon. Speak soon...

Good morning,

The races, runners and prices, to work around for this afternoon's session..

2.20 Redcar. KHELEY (3.45)

Our price 14/5 (3.8) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.5 or under. *Traders be aware that she has enough speed to lead this race. - Also please note that a 'little' more emphasis has gone on the early markets for clues concerning this race*

Our price 6/5 (2.2) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.9 or under we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although lightly raced, she has shown good pace and so no surprise to see another prominent display this afternoon - Also please note that a 'bit' more emphasis has gone on te early market for clues*

That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. You don't need me to tell you how tricky it is out there lately and this afternoon's session no exception to that. Saying that though, we again have enough about us to warrant going into battle, so we'll keep the discipline to a maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings..
