Hoping these having winning chances at the prices - in order of preference :-
R7) Evoke Emotion (7/1), despite being drawn fairly wide, she does have a lot in her favour. The booking of the 2.5kg claiming apprentice looks the key here. Last time out in MR 77 company, she carried 59.0kgs, tomorrow, 55.5kgs with the allowance. Her 6 runs prior against stronger company, she carried roughly the same or more weight. She is certainly weighted to finish ahead of Colour Magic (3/1 joint favourite), and off 55.5kgs she should be very competitive. At the price, certainly worth a go.
R6) Rocketeer (3/1), again with the apprentice allowance, must have a winning chance.
Lastly, Heart Of A Legend (17/10) (R3), the race does look tailor-made for her to break out the maiden ranks.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

I agree completely regarding Evoke Emotion. Seems good value at 8/1

I wouldn't ignore the chances of Miranda Frost in the 3rd, it's the only horse that can shorten, not that it has, South Side (1/1 out to 13/10) has already started to drift, wait for race time, you'll probably get around 2/1 South Side. Admittedly a two horse race.

The course will have dried out since Tuesday when the going was a bit sticky. Should be perfect on Saturday.
Race 1: Eric Sands has a very strong hand, with Bendy Bullet likely to have the edge. Velvet Dawn fair debut and could earn a cheque. Quite a few unraced runners.
Race 2: Miranda Frost gets 4kg from South Side which should swing it her way. A small but competitive field as Varumba or Felicity Flyer could surprise at best.
Race 3: We have Champagne Dream running - very disappointing so far but hopefully will show some improvement this trip. Stable companion Heart of a Legend has a good winning chance. Wine Festival good debut and should fight out the finish( GvN picks up the ride)
Race 4: We have Counting Stars running. Two fair sprints, and should improve this trip. EW chance. The horse to beat is the consistent Cossack Guard. For the minor money, Shadow Warrior and Mister Colin should enjoy the extra, and Mini Louche has consistent form.
Race 5: Desert Wisdom ran above his current rating in the Winter Derby, and a repeat of that run would give him a decent winning chance. Good ew value at 7/1. Juddering Angel and Hero Quest are also well in at the weights. Paddington and Mangrove are improving stayers but have a lot to do at the weights if a true run race.
Race 6: Weak field, very open race.
Race 7: Possibly Me, Red Ginger and Katie's Jay the shortlist in a competitive race.
Race 8: Eternal Night and Waterbaby the best of the older fillies ; Savage Garden good debut and with natural improvement the one to beat.

if one reads the candice robinson stable comments ,.. they seem to been quite bullish with some long odd runners..seems good value on most of here runners...

7 years 10 months agothat drink should be banned - The worst mistake I ever made was drinking copious amounts of that poison - I have had a 20 year hangover from it as I proposed to my ex-wife while under its spell!!Mac wrote: I see Oscar has a runner in the first, STRAW RUM
