Ive never understood
7 years 11 months ago
It happens all the time here in the UK and today on this wonderful site.
Someone called someone a wanker......
Now if someone said to me " Easy you are NOT a wanker, you have never wanted"
that would be super offensive as the act itself is quite simple and gratifying. So for me calling someone a wanker but trying to make it an insult is frankly silly....

Easy you are really opening yourself up for a few compliments and many insults. Then on the other hand...... accepting you are a wanker....... will come as no surprise.....the first step on the road to recovery. :silly:

Tonight I played football against 1 of the best known teams I in Durban. We aren't very good and they are much better than us. I am much younger than most in the team and without blowing my own trumpet a bit better than most. I ended up in an altercation with an older guy I know very well. What I love about the sport is afterwards no matter the vulgarities on the field I can go say sorry and we can move on. It seems in this industry grudges are held to the bitter end.

for a moment during this story I thought it was going to end up in a quid pro quo tug

As the recipient of the wanker award, I take it from whence it comes.
Religion unfortunately is a complex thing that finds many to defend it, sometimes irrationally. All I will say is there are going to be a lot of people in trouble when they expire if you read the beliefs of the radicals, they cant all be right. Personally I'm athiest but respect all beliefs as long as the respect for my athiesm is returned.
To the issue at hand. Only a fool would take my posting as disrespectful to Hinduism. If I were talking about the Virgin Mary I would have asked if the dearly departed was Catholic.
