Hi guys,
I took a liitle break from July day , (still feeling the pain of Al Sahem and Celtic Captain not winning, if they landed then it was a very very very good day ) and didnt do any formstudy until wade viljoen send me the frontpage photo of Greyville Mercury Sprint meeting Computaform with the words... oom , we made it onto the front page!! .... and thats Royal Master winning at greyville last year when we raided natal. What a day , what a moment for me and Ryan Munger that day. So i decided to get back into studying . Must be an oman , you cannot not study the card with your own horse winning on the front page.
Race 1
Sequined nr 12 is the horse the all have to beat , 3rd run after a rest , proven over the distance , getting weight from most other and the draw 10 is not much a concern for me over the poly greyville 1400m. Not much pacesetters in the race either so dont see a problem overcoming the draw. i think 11/2 is a very big price and 12/10 to run a place is a gift.
She represent plenty value.
Race 2
Small 6 horse fillies field and the pace will be on with witchcraft , girl on the run and Nima not scared to make the pace. My biggest concern is that the 3 top in the betting all carry a massive 61,5kg over 2400m . Thats a massive load especially for a filly , doesnt matter how good you are or how highly you rated. The one i like is Nima who will make sure they , the topweights , feel the load . Delpech knows her well and 4/1 is not too short . For a top 2 place at even money is also worth it. In bipot i will include girl on the run and roughy forbidden dual.
Race 3
Handicap for fillies and again not a big field . Draw is much bigger concern over this 1600m . Premier dance is hot pot fav but the one i think have value is the stablemate nr5 Well in Flight . 3rd run after a rest and Jock Fish will know her by now , blinkers strike , drawn ideally in box 2 and can upset them all. Looks like she is in as pacemaker for the fav but i wont be surprise if Fish go all the way , she is currently 17/2 and worth a small eachway . In bipot i will add persian rug , premier dance , mark my card with Well in Flight. In PA i will go 1 and 5.
Race 4
Race 4 nr 4 draw 4 (wink wink)
If GUNSHIP is 80% fit she will smash this field to pieces . I think 2/1 is a big price and surely she is the best bet on the card from a inform stable and top jock from ideal draw. Her 3 last runs preduced 8 subsequent winners. My biggest concern is the lenghy rest she had but i will bank her in everything
Race 5
Very poor field in this low rated handicap, only 3 of them could manage to run in the first 3 places in atleast one of their last 2 starts. The fav is 6/1 and only one horse is over 10/1 (scrathing my head how bookmakers priced up here) . If i have to pick one of these i will choose Best bred horse on my bloodlines , LONDON KNIGHT nr 11, but i will go field in pick 6 and in bipot and pa go 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 10 11
Race 6
Another small field of only 7 runners , i dont trust either the fav nr 1 or 2nd fav nr 2 . The one i like , coming of a rest and is 17/2 biggest outsider , SWAKOPMUND. I will go field in all exotics .
Race 7
I like the four Tarry horses and will add nr 1 frosty friday with them in exotics . WUKKIN UP nr 4 is 4/1 and worth an eachway bet with Marcus up , handy/pacesetter type and draw 1 . So , pa , pick 6 and bipot i will go 1 2 3 4 5
Race 8
Trip to heaven 2/1 is waaaaaay too short. Drawn inside and always losing ground will be stone last coming into straight. How he will make it up over 1200m i dont know. I will brass him. My old atm is TALKTOTHESTARS and 10/1 i will take some eachways and will bank him in my jackpot. Just love this old soldier and coenie have him spot on and with big race jock BF i hope he wins. Pa i will go 2 3 and 14 and pick 6 i will go short in smaller perm with only 2 and 3 and bigger perm wide 2 3 4 6 9 12 14 15
Race 9
Another terrible field ( really dissapointed to see this races on a big raceday) and nothing much to desire.i go field again in pick 6. In pa i will go 1 2 3 4 6 and 9
Bipot R3780 , will take 10% for R378
Pa 11340 , will take 5 % for R567
Jackpot R420 will take 50% for R210
Big perm pick 6 R40320 for 1 % R403,20
Smaller perm pick 6 R10080 for 5 % R504
The 6 horses i will include in canadians is
Sequined wins/places
Nima wins/places
Well in flight wins /places
Gunship win
Wukkin up wins/places
Talktothestars wins/places
Enjoy the day

I am going to change my selection to Sequined
Obviously Meryl is the common horse that everyone appears to be referencing, if so, why not be with On The Bounce who went down to Meryl by 1.50 lengths at level weights after losing 2 lengths. The other two fancied runners, Green Ice and Sequined, whilst running close or relatively close to Meryl, were in receipt of 2.0kgs. On The Bounce was closing nicely in the NBT feature over 1200m last time out, the extra should suit.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

I watched uso and i can't believe how poor the quality of the fields are in Kzn's champion season.Kzn trainers only have 1 runner in the mercury sprint, had 2 runners in the july(both could not run into top EIGHT) and to top it all off, today they give us plenty low division poly races in there champion season.now i must ask what is going on with our racing when it's feature season and this is the card they dish up to the punters.
i will abstain from this drivel at greyville and watch the cricket and have a nice bet on Mr R Moore on Carravagio in the July cup at Newmarket at evens.

I think making big money today will be relatively straight forward.
Green Ice - I took a really big dip here at 5/1, and again yesterday at 5/2. We have seen it many times that early money usually means trouble, but today I think this one will win. I like Girl on the run to close off a double and hopefully a trebile with Gunship.
Longer priced runners - I like Mark my Card and Talk to the Stars, I also like a lot of Silver Class x New Predator.
Good luck fellas! Hopefully we can launch today with the 1st race alone

Marcus never tried with the horse!!!
