Vaal Inside Track - Tuesday 18 July 2017

Hi Guys,

Vaal Inside:

Race 2: Ice Art(9) 9-10 She is improving and should win this one. Watch for Aqautique(6) 13-1. She was doing her best the last 100m of the race and she will improve for the placings, was very green on debut
Selection: 9 - 6 - 2 - 3

Race 3: Just An Affair(1) 5-2 is in a weak field but Monty Python(3) 14-1 is very much alive along with Singaswewin(5) 7-2 & Sweet Juliet(12) 28-10. OPEN RACE
Selection: 1 - 5 - 3 - 12

Race 4: Golden Man(3) 2-1 BEST BET ON THE CARD This horse last run ran behind 105MR(Rivarine) & 104MR(Captain Aldo) so means was 6kgs out at the weights but still ran under a length behind them. Back in a handicap which clearly means that he is better than a rating of 80. Sporting Manarch(1) 2-1 who is 2kg worse off with top rating on the Roquebrune run will be in the placings along with Shivering Sea(2) 22-10
Selection: 3 - 1 - 2 - 6

Race 5: OPEN RACE again but King Of Mani(7) 16-1 ran a cracker in 3rd on Sunday so maybe too soon for today’s racing if not scratched. Dragoon(4) 10-1 is another I like as he is 5kg better off with Tiger’s Legacy(5) 4-1. The only filly in the race Last Girl Standing(9) 33-10 has the beating of both Snow In Seattle(2) 6-1 & Wottahottie(11) 6-1 on the weights. Roughie Bombs Away(12) 20-1 has a trifecta/quartet chance too as he is 4kg better off than Dragoon on their last run on 4 April.
Selection: 7 - 9 - 4 - 6

Race 6: Succesfilly(7) 14-1 MY BEST VALUE OF THE DAY. She beat Memphis Belle(2) 7-2 in the maidens by 2L. And she is 2.5kg better off on that run so my opinion will beat her again. Lady On Fire(10) , Cataluga(1) 4-1 & Queen At War(11) should go close to each other in the placings on the Cataluga run 24 June
Selection: 7 - 2 - 1 - 11 - 10

Race 7: Dalley(4) 9-10 My other best bet. She won by 3L last time & could have won further. Few have come out and won on that formline. Bandola(1) 7-1 will be there if staying the distance along with Rose Water(6) 5-2. The outsider Blue Sage(5) 14-1 will be staying on. Take exactas with above mentioned
Selection: 4 - 1 - 5 - 6

Race 8: Sess(14) 12-10 is a front runner so will play in the hands of Justify(12) 8-1 but not sure if justify can win. He ran a cracker of a race on debut finishing 7.35L behind Man At War and was slow out in fact walked out of the stalls losing a few lenghts. Was tailed off but finished like a steam train the last 100m. Keep an eye, wouldn’t be surprised if beating the favourite. Take exactas boxed
Selection: 14 - 12 - 2 - 4

In the Race behind Frederico's Dream, Kitty Coo finished second 1,75L behind and Ice Art fourth 3,95L behind. Kitty Coo is better odds just to run a place.

R1 Vicomte decently bred, half sister Maria Theresa wasn't all that bad and doesn't have to be awfully special to win this race in my opinion, Van Zyl yard been in decent form in Gauteng the last month or so and therefore must be respected. Not much between Bennu and Darkest hour, preference for the former.

R2 Ice Art banker in all bets for me, opened around evens which has quickly been snapped up and I think rightly so. Gottoluvher and kitty coo the other obvious inclusions for the exacta but for value chuck in Clinton Binda's new relocatee now that the stable has turned the corner. Also think Tiedye could appreciate the drop in trip but for me Ice Art is the best on the card.

R3 First choice for me is sweet Juliet, reservations though with a two year old filly taking on the boys as well as the older boys. Singaswewin if was drawn better I'd make another really good bet, but from that draw can't back with much confidence. Binda has another interesting new relocatee who if ignoring the last couple when coughing, could appreciate the change in surroundings and also warrants inclusion. Overall a tricky race and I will include all of 1,2,5,7,9,12.

R4 Agree regarding sentiments that Golden Man is a decent prospect today and encouraging that he's shortened from 5/2 into 17/10. Tokyo drift potentially for the exacta.

R5 Another tricky race in my opinion which doesn't get easier when looking at the draws. For me Quatro should not be 40/1 and the rank outside. I imagine Ryan may have had some sort of choice between the Maroun runners and think at 11/2 a top 4 may be of some value. Also gotta respect I'm a raptor from that draw despite only beating a moderate field lto and could have more improvement to come. Another leg where I will load up.

R6 Queen at war looks to have finally settled down after relocation and with the Magner yard in reasonable form with the appie taking 2.5 off I make another one at a bit of value for a place. Nicely drawn and at 22/10 a top 3 may be worth chancing. Memphis Belle gets Delpech up after Marco's fall yesterday and should appreciate the drop in trip. Pipkin another Maroun runner in with a shot but the former two I think will be good enough for the pa.

R7 Dalley no doubt the horse to beat but no value at odds on. For me Arte may be worth including but for value is look at places on The right answer. At 4/1 a top 3 I'd rather take a chance that she can produce one of her better runs which should be good enough to run into the places. Cranberry Crush also on a line through AP Chanel could be thereabouts.

R8 Sess the obvious one and Azzie comments are positive, a bit worried about the draw so will look to include another. Justify being by Judpot and out of a Rakeen mare should appreciate the step up in trip. He was slow away on debut and stayed on nicely over a trip that may have been an introductory one at that and with the scratching of synergy may prove to be the biggest danger to sess. Of the older brigade I think Artificio could give Stenger another place after race 7.

For me:

PA
9
1,2,5,9,12
3
2,3,7,10
2,11
4(8,9)
14(12,4)
R40/R360
