...not maybe but we MUST reward regular on course race goers... Im a punter and on course at all venues over the country. Why at big racedays we, the regular punter, who actually go and watch racing live, cant find parking, pay entrance fees... My home ground Turfontein on SummerCup day, the regulars are being treated like shit whilst first time race goers, get to sit and spend their day in luxuary... The so called celebreties dont know a horses arse from its head, whilst the powers that be do nothing to keep te regulars interrested...

Well said and took the words out my mouth. I have said this before and will agree 100 times. I have even stopped going to the course. Not even the July or Gold cup.

7 years 3 weeks agoI knew I said it.Dean321 wrote: Probably was said on here many times however I am gonna say it again. Punters who play this game daily spends way more than your "once a year" punter on let's say July day. Create a rewards programme and invite the guys and treat them like they should be treated. Why should I get invited by a casino to attend a horse racing event fully paid for when I also play my tom on horse racing.
Punters should too be treated with the utmost respect in this game.

Question has to be asked “ what can Racing fo for us “ ?

THE ASIAN MODEL
review EVERY jockey on how EVERY one of his rides is working ( no tips ) and play the package the night and morning before the meeting
THAT IS WHAT HONG KONG DOES VERY SKILFULLY
Also trainer preview comments ,
● every trainer , ●every horse ,
on how they have done since last start
●WORK LEVEL , ●ANY EQUIPMENT CHANGES (blinkers,tongue ties,etc)
●ANY NEW DISTANCE EXPECTATION ,
● etc
Not thrown in punters face in a post race winner's tellygloat
NB interview EVERY JOCKEY as he enters the weighing room after dismounting - A SIMPLE NAME OF MOUNT AND BRIEF COMMENT - and spare the poor customer of the " thanks to sponsor " and " I dedicate this to ..." from jockeys
FOCUS IN WINNER'S CIRCLE IS ON THE OWNER AND BREEDER
CAREFULLY AND SKILLFULLY DISSEMINATED TO INSURE THAT THERE IS A SYMMETRICAL FLOW OF ALL PRICE SENSITIVE INFORMATION PRE AND POST RACE
= the efficient market principle = basic business sanity
ALWAYS PUBLISHED AT THE SAME TIME THE DAY BEFORE AND ON THE DAY
NOT RANDOM , SCATTER-GUN SUGAR HITS lost in a the cacaphonic soufflè of almost unbearable noise which is Tellytrack
MARKETING = PUBLIC PERCEPTION MANAGEMENT
GOLD CIRCLE ARE IMPROVING BUT HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO
PHUMELELA= dark ages stuff
