"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Saturday 21st June Workings..

Afternoon,

This afternoon completed and went as follows..

The 1st runner we wanted 2.32 and with being around 2.12/14 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 2.14 max. The price then went the other way and drifted right out to our own price of 2.625 and beyond, before tumbling back down, so a fluctuating market and a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade came in 2nd after a battle, so a good result......

The 2nd runner we wanted 3.3 and with drifting to around 4.0 on arrival and only getting bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though......

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.8 and with being a well supported 2.44 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.44. The lay looked booked for 2nd, but nailed it on the line to win, so frustrating, but the way it goes. Traders very easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it...

The 4th runner we wanted 3.3 and with being that and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 3.3 max. The lay was beaten after a battle and so a good result....

The 5th runner we wanted 2.2 and with being around 2.08 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.08. The lay came in 2nd and so a good result....

The 6th runner we wanted 2.0, but a non runner and 4.2% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.96. The price was around 2.14 on arrival and then tumbled down to us and beyond, so we had a lay at 1.96 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result..

The 7th runner we wanted 2.5 and with being around 3.1 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage, so all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so 'one that got away in hindsight'...

The 8th runner we wanted 3.2 and with being around 3.8 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten and so 'one that got away in hindsight'...

The 9th runner we wanted 3.3 and with being around 4.3 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, it was another race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave........

The 10th runner we wanted 2.1, but a non runner and 3.1% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.07. The price was around 2.66 on arrival and then came tumbling down to us and beyond, so we had a lay at 2.07 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result........

The 11th and final runner we wanted 2.32 and with being around 2.04 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.04. The race is around 15 minutes away and all strategy play is finished, so with just a tiny bit of trading on offer and me having to get ready to go out, I'm leaving it here. Good luck if you proceed..

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED......

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 2 targets.........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and hit their targets on their 3rd lay (the 4th runner)...........They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 5th runner and hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 6th runner).........Then they ran out of enough potential lays left to start another, so they end the session winning 2 targets......

'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that bought a tiny profit.........They then had their 1st lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.44, but a poor result see them go behind......Then came their 2nd lay (the 4th runner) at 3.3 and a good result see them win a chunk back..........They then had their 3rd lay (the 5th runner) at 2.08 and a good result see 4 runner builders back level, so with being level, no room at all for error now with just the one potential lay left, they walk away levels...

5 runner builders played on and went to their 4th lay (the 6th runner) at 1.96 max and a good result see them hit their targets...
