Some observations re trainers
7 years 10 months ago
I remember one of the biggest betting coups was pulled off by the Dylan Cunha stable for the Summer Cup (Strategic News). After that win, the stable could not saddle a winner for about three months. The rest is history.
Another example is Yogas Govender who pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the Met. After that big win his career went downhill.
Alec Laird won the met on Smart Call. This year he had no runners in the Natal season.
After Mike Azzie won the triple crown, all his problems started.
The list is quite long, Hodgson (Paste Master), Joey Soma and Glen Puller are but a few who won big and then downhill. Lets watch the Mawing stable after the Gold Cup.

TT....the Gold Cup is now a grade 3, sad but true, so I expect there will be some more winners along shortly.
