Calling all "Tipsters" competition
7 years 9 months ago
We would gladly offer to put down R20,000 to finally settle the issue regarding who is the best " Tipster" out there??
We NOT Tipsters, we do ratings based on 82 form and 22 Intent rules,
We don't claim to be the best BUT we would like to test our ratings vs. those whom claim to be the best...we look for consistency over time and a solid base to improve from rather than a shoot in the dark approach and shouting to the world when you win BUT keeping extremely quiet when you don't
We publish all our selections and keep track of stats on everything ever published
You could even decide on the rules, but it will have to cover atleast a span of 1 month covering ALL RSA Racing venues and only for those charging for their " Tips"

Why discriminate against those of us who share our thoughts for free on this site ?

It is quite clear that this is a call for a competition to those that charge for their tips...
There is no discrimination, simply a platform to settle a question against the best charging "Tipsters" in the country

But what is not clear, is WHY you want to exclude the 'amateurs' ..... ?

charge
tʃɑːdʒ/Submit
verb
gerund or present participle: charging
1.
demand (an amount) as a price for a service rendered or goods supplied.
"wedding planners may charge an hourly fee of up to £150"
synonyms: ask in payment, ask, fix a charge, fix a price, impose, levy; More
record the cost of something as an amount payable by (someone) or on (an account).
"they charge the calls to their credit-card accounts"
synonyms: bill, put down, debit from, take from
"the subscription price will be charged to your account annually"
antonyms: credit to
The competition I propose is for "charging" tipsters ... that's the end of it
Not everyone is as clever as the "amateurs" that thinks that they could be better than charging tipsters SOME people are actually new to the game and looking to purchase a subscription from someone that would hopefully help find them some winners.
"Amateurs" rely on bragging rights when they are right but have no way acceptable to gauge whether they would in fact add value to flipping a coin.... if amateurs would like to see whom is the best tipsters in their eyes temporarily for a specific raceday you could simply keep following anyone of the competitions available on big race days for a temporary kick of whom is better on the day (rather than who will provide a profit in the long run) Even a competition lasting a month across all RSA Venues is a short period of time to gauge on, our stats are now updated +4 years already so 1/50th of the timespan is a small measure....but a gauge
This is NOT a debate on who is the best amateur , this is for those who charge for their tips Frodo and there are MANY out there with their own facebook pages and the market is there since not everyone has a million years of tipping studying a computaform (or the time to study the Computaform daily in the long run.) available to them...
Some would be happy to purchase a product with stats to support their selections going over a time frame acceptable to them.. if you would like to be included into an amateur vs. tipster competition or an amateur ONLY comp then I am sure that could be arranged fairly everyone thinking they are good enough to put their money where their mouth is throwing an entry fee into a pot for everyone having the chance to win their share.... but granted that you could decide to plan and host such a comp in your own time.
In my mind a computer vs. an individual having to tip over a span of 4 years... there could only be one winner (or one finisher actually)

Not sure what you are hoping to achieve, but good luck in getting this off the ground

But this site does not condone the adverts of "professional" tipsters.
