he beat the worst november handicap field in living history with the second horse being 9 pounds under sufferance ..if the cape wasnt 1400km away from joburg there would have been half a dozen top division milers from there who would have beaten him ...

....won't dispute that the charity mile field was not the greatest representation of our country's milers.....however all that Hat could do was win it....I believe that this horse is on the upgrade as his 1st to 2nd run locally was like night and day....even though they had not yet found the correct mouth piece which was apparently attributed to the vastly improved performance.....this horse is a serious runner in the Queens plate where he will finally meet the better milers.....his 3 facile wins in Argentina were on a left hand track..... ;)

.....not entirely correct either....your info is similar to that of ARO which cannot be correct....on the video on this thread is his undocumented win by that bigger margin.....one can only assume that it was his 1st or maiden win .....as my Spanish is not what it used to be........he therefore has raced 6 times for 4 wins.....

Yes indeed - the horse won it's debut run by 16 lengths . Popular legend has the horse as a superstar Gr1 winner by 16 Lengths.

Regardless- in two starts in the country, the Horse sits at No.4 on The NHRA earnings for this season. The first run can quite easily be blotted out - making the horse a R625000 per race earner on SA Turf. For the First months of this season that is equal to the No1 ranked horse Broadway Trip, and now equals Big Bear - the current No1 Ranked horse also on R625000 per start --- That's just warming up! - so watch the #Hat Puntano

All of this is very interesting - trainers go to great lengths to disguise the form of their runners, so the connections can get a good price - in this case, nobody needs to do anything - since at this rate, we followers of the Hat will keep backing him at R18 & R20 a start !!

......this is how myths, urban legends and fake news are started.....people say things on TV or put into print on the internet and without checking facts and then becomes a fact....not a Hat hater but hey lets not repeat and pass on fake information....FFS we all have access to internet info and may be amateurs at penning and reporting..... but it irks me that people that earn a living by appearing on TV can't be a little more professional and check the facts before misinforming those that have no way or will to check if they are telling pork pies.... :S
