You can thank me later

Looks good. Le's do this ;)

I've always been of the opinion that should something go wrong with a horse in the starting stalls, they should scratch the horse, irrespective of the price

If I owned Monks Hood I would feel a bit hard done by, surely the trainer has to agree to run the horse after what happened at the start ??

Despite the betting, Effortless Reward should be the pick from the Goosen yard.

If you asked punters whether they'd like their horse to be scratched in such instances,I think the vast majority would say yes.So surely that should be what happens?

I guess that would be common sense though, which we know is not in large supply in this industry.

If the animal is not limping, that does not necessarily mean it's not experiencing pain. There is the possibility that permitting the horse to run the race could compound the injury. Any trainer worth his/her salt would rather have their horse scratched there an then. Again i stress, whether the horse is 5/10 or 50/1, it should be scratched.

De Melo is lucky he got third with the odds on favorite because he didn't try one bit on that horse. There is a prime example of if you can't win why even bother.I keep as far away from that combinaton as possible.
