Richard reported that he felt something amiss behind and pulled the horse out the race. Hundreds was limping slightly on his near hind when R dismounted, but a short while later he seemed to trot up sound. Will have a full vet check tomorrow.
Didn't get the best of starts, and was slow to get into his stride. At the top of the straight ducked outwards away from a horse on his inside that drifted out towards him. Possibly knocked himself in that movement.
Very disappointing as he has been working extremely well and works comfortably with winners at home.
Thankfully nothing serious apparent in the post race trot- up.

Had he won, would have been a great day at the races, but at least some consolation with a good win by Shall be Free. Dark Goddess also a bit unlucky in that she was standing awkwardly when the starter pushed the button and lost her position at the start. Ran on really well for second. Desert Wisdom stayed on nicely under a good ride by Anthony Andrews for another placed run.
