"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Wed 25 June Workings..
16 years 11 months ago
Afternoon,
This afternoon completed and went as follows..
The 1st runner we wanted 2.2 and with being around 2.32 on arrival and only getting bigger and bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage, so all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so the drift justified and 'one that got away' in hindsight..
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.9 and with being around 3.3 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage, so another race for all to avoid. The runner was beaten and so another drift justified and another that gets away in hindsight.....
The 3rd runner we wanted 1.3 and with being around 1.43 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, it was yet another race for all to avoid. The runner was beaten by the only conceivable danger, so yet another 'one that gets away' in hindsight.....
The 4th runner we wanted 2.0 and with being around 2.48 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner looked to have won a photo finish, but they gave it to the other horse! my eyes and plenty of others got it wrong and 'one that got away in hindsight'......
The 5th runner we wanted 3.1 and with drifting to around 3.7 on arrival and getting bigger and bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner went and won a close finish, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave....
The 6th runner we wanted 2.32 and with drifting to around 2.44 on arrival and getting bigger, race to race players never see the lay price and so had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten by the main danger and so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though.......
The 7th runner we wanted 1.7 and with drifting to around 1.72 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at 1.7 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result...
The 8th runner we wanted 3.3 and with being around 4.7 on arrival, being around 50 minutes away, all strategy play complete and only a bit of trading left on offer, I'm leaving it there and will concentrate on this evening's racing. Good luck traders with the remainder..
WELL PLAYED...
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) failed to get any play early on and were left with an insufficient amount to start a strategy, so no play and they walk away levels..
'Bank builder' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 7th runner) at 1.7 max and a good result see them hit their targets...
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
1st lay £100 to win the £100 target @ 1.7 max. Result positive. Win £100
Total bank now £500
Overall result. Target hit.
*****************************************
Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
Failed to get any play early on and ran out of enough potential lays left to start a strategy/target..
*****************************************
'Traders' have won, or broke level on all their trades thus far, so good luck with the remainder..
So, what a strange session that was! no play for 5 runner players, but 4 runner players hit their targets and so good stuff guys. Speak soon with this evening's workings..
Marc.

That's our work for this afternoon's session then. Always looks tricky with that unexposed nature in force leaving us vulnerable to big drifters and gambles, but we do have enough about us to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum as always and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings...
