Run Rhino Run is number one

Exciting.. No matter which way you look at it, you have people who are eluding to certain things, ie the stipes, the betting odds, the other jocks asleep, racing being a farce... All in all, we have processes in place that should/will take place and that it must, as per normal.

But back to the race, boy was it exciting and exactly what we needed! Talk of the town and still is going on this morning at the office. Even the VDJ didnt attract this level of enthusiasm. We put the race up on the big screen and even non race goers were intrigued.

Loved it, and thank you to Kom, Serino, Roy and the Rhino (you mad crazy thing of a horse).

There should be a rule stopping this type of blatant crookery , tell me 1 jock tried besides the winner but like most things in racing , same thing will happen next week

The action happened on the back stretch and from the grandstand your view is limited and commentary isn't always audible and with poor camera work we only took it in late
There was a buzz when we realized the situation and almost everyone got to their feet waiting for him to come into view ,apart from the July i have never seen excitement like that.

Excellent training feat as this horse went badly off form in the stables he was in prior to coming to Kom

Will the other jocks should be banned ?

When riders in the uk take the wrong course etc they get big bans

Give them all a month or two

No one should be banned.

Only one horse (Great Rumpus) had run the distance before (and he had run 3 from 3 unplaced).

7 out of 8 horses running 3000m for the first time, same for many jocks and quite a number of appies in the race.

How was them misjudging the pace a surprise?

The race had false pace and upset written all over it if you studied it

Yes he set the pace he felt was right and won the race so well done to him but if going right to the outside of the course and running hundreds of meters more than he really should have is seen as a brilliant ride then this was the best ride of all time.

I think if that race was run anywhere else the jocks would have done the same - It clearly looked like the jock had no control of the horse(he confirmed this in his interview and was praised by the trainer for just "staying on") .. Jocks watching from behind would have thought that he would be pulled up at some point or worse would have run himself into the rail or tired out because of his antics - I have seen some pearlers in the cape when appies are allowed to set the pace and the field hold up until the result is known - A horse that is running from one side of the track to another is a different story and if you have seen him race before, would know he is slighlty mad. There have been many coups pulled off that in my opinion were never tackled by the stipes but this to me was just a fluke

One Melbourne Cup, Aiden O’ Brien was certainly questioned by the Australian stripes regarding the cut-throat pace set by, not one, but by both his runners.
