Chicken you really think that I was born yesterday. So forgive the cynic in me, you post this AFTER the running of the second race and surprise surprise you have already tipped a nice double and then gone for the 2 favourites of which one LOST. Have a look at my post I quite clearly stated POST YOUR BETS BEFORE THE 1ST.

OTA if you don’t believe me then that’s your problem. No matter if I won or not you were never ever going to donate any money. You can now stop your insults as well .

Chicken..we were all waiting to see your selections. You entered in a friendly wager and your selections were made public after the running of the first two races. I am not saying that you did not play it at all but when you take up a challenge you must come to he party.

As for racing in Kimberley. The biggest mistake the racing authorities made was by closing the Vaal sandtrack. The biggest outcry against dirt racing came from people making a living on foreign soil on some of their dirt tracks.

There were always be a place for racing on sand. We struggle in Cape Town to fill a 7 horse field yet the Kimberley trainers can fill fields with 12 and more runners for 12 races every meeting.

Chicken dont worry i am the cheat here. I supplied 17 of the runners that ran or would have ran today to various trainers/owners. I deal a lot with the trainers and have some insight ..but my forecast is done well ahead and is my own selections..no info was used in any of the selections..

tx Bob and co for a fantastic site...hoping our friends in FORMGRIDS come back on air in the very near future.

Nic to be perfectly honest , i had forgotten about his post. I had a break and went onto the site and then posted my lucky 15 ticket after the the first two legs had run. In hindsight i should not have done that. Everybody knows that i back Ziets horses each way at every meeting so did not find that necessary to post up. For the record i did make a profit from Flamingo today.

So it turns out that Kimberley is actually a classic racing track - the two purest handicap indicators appear to be the two most significant factors at this track. Recent Form and Weight. I ran some macro across the form based on these principles and suddenly yesterdays card opened up, like a light bulb was switched on - taking me back to how I used to evaluate races back when i was 16

Weight is something I stopped considering many years ago, and it hasn't been a factor in my analysis for a long time. I have started to experiment with some consideration of weight again though.

This track sees stables racing horses week in and week out - three or four per race, until one shows signs oof form - don't they have a training track at Kimberley?

Of course it was just one meeting , and the next may throw some curve balls --- but it all made a lot more sense yesterday.

Someone pointed out to me that a certain trainer had 2 horses scratched today for this rule - They are both owned by the same person - I am just speculating here but could it be that both horses were based on a farm somewhere (maybe the owner looked after them and trained them ) and then were just sent to the races under this trainer's name? The facts are limited at this point but I assume the stipes(It was a stipe that scratched them) will investigate to rule out under the lap training - Very strange indeed
VERY KEEN to read the stipes report tomorow regarding this and watch how this incident will be kept under the lap

FRANCOIS P – scratched in terms of Rule 50.8.2 (advised 20 October 2017 / 11:22). An inquiry will be opened into the circumstances surrounding the scratching of FRANCOIS P

I think somebody in the dwang big time

On the positive side, it seems that having a permanent stipe in Kimberley could be paying dividends.
