Great day for racing here in PE. Going to be very tough for any PE horse to win today.

Race 2: 8 Hotel Cipriani's last run to Dayonaut should be good enough to beat this field.
Race 3: 1 Daring Miss will love the 1200 at Fairview, running a close 2nd the last two times it went over 1200m at Kenilworth is great value at 5/1
Race 7: 2 Nebula is the one for me. Even though its drawn deep. It runs on strongly. With Bernard up it has a very good chance.

Value bets:
Oklahoma Sky 7/2 a place is a very good bet
Mambo Tango

Enjoy the day and goodluck all.

As mentioned previously a stunning day here in the Friendly City. Off to the course shortly to enjoy the day. As much as i'd like a PE horse to win the big one Stonehenge stands out like a sore thumb and i see him winning from pillar to post. :P

Have a good one!!

Good day all. Fairview on Algoa Cup day is always tough. Looks like a nice day and I hope the PE faithful will soon be flocking in there like in the old days.

From a punting point of view, one has to have a go at the P6. Other than that bet, you have to find other value bets to play around the 2 obvious bankers.

I only have one problem with the 2nd banker and that is the jock. Yes he is good and he has to make amends for the 2nd last time out at Durbanville, but still not one of my favoured jocks. Problem is to find anything to beat his mount. Gavin Venter was very confident about Plano, but on the weights I cannot see him upsetting the favourite. So on these grounds, he gets to be a banker.

The 1st banker is in the race just before. Looks a solid proposition.

Some others I like on the day are:

R1 - Stay away
R2 - Green Field
R3 - What a Player / Daring Miss
R4 - Cup Cake
R5 - Banker
R6 - Banker
R7 - True Master / Stormy Eclipse / Stonehenge / Ollivander are my top 4, but there are obviously many other with winning chances
R8 - Tin Slodier
R9 - Minds Eye / Queen Justine

Have fun everyone
