Race 1: You have a 40% chance of picking the right one here if you select the un-named favorite. Higher chance as the odds get lower.

Race 2: Prosecco stands out here off a decent debut, was well supported on debut, lost two lengths, ran green - so has plenty scope for improvement. On that note - Love Theme was equally , if not more impressive behind Via Sacra - comes off a 112 day layoff. Behind that Roy's Marlin has put up a few decent runs on the polytrack - but the market basically disqualifies this one, Seattle Spark in wiith an outside chhance too. So it's one of Prosecco or Love Theme - that doesn't help much for wagering decisions. If I was to bet under those circumstances - I would normally go with the one offering the higher value return.

Race 3: Support for First timer Global Pursuit to be respected since the runners are not the most classy. Drageda reverts to 1200m debut run which wasn't too bad after losing two lengths and racing green - will be a stronger challenger here. Musigny i felt was in with a chance after massive betting move last time out - was slow away , stumbled and cramped at the 250m. Market suggests he may be better over further - but watch the betting on this one. Kazaar makes debut for top sprinting stable , after 197 days rest.

Race 4: Rose Hill and City Of Stars looked the obvious - but both relatively weak sent me in search of a potential improver. The most likely seemingly PHILADELPHIA GIRL but there are a number that could show the necessary ELEGANT SPEED, DESERT PHANTOM and more including the well backed first timers.

Race 5 - Up to the fifth race and no outright wagering opportunity. Seventh Plain too classy for these, But the huge weight swing will bring The Poet right there. Neala hints at good ability, but will only shape up here if she prefers the 1400m to the 1200m - so far all indications are that she doesn't. Ability ratings for race : SEVENTH PLAIN 10.945 THE POET 10.11 REDCARPET CAPTAIN 7.3 NEALA 7.02

Race 6: Once again nothing to separate Wynkelder and Di Mazzio, with Wynkelder the slight preference. Roy's Marciano - Tommy Grand and Tropical's Son could have a say with light weights. Ability Ratings WYNKELDER 10.456 DI MAZZIO (AUS) 10.206 ROY’S MARCIANO 8.85 TOMMY GRAND 8.7 TROPICAL’S SON 8.4

Race 7: Liquid Rainbow looks like a horse that is going places, and will benefit if they go quick. Kahula and Viento would look like challengers with One Man Show in the picture.

Love Theme should never have lost that race
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
