Would have been a crazy bet against a 6/10 favourite if not EW But I have so often seen the most apparent sure thing go bad in racing. Obviously at some point they had to try and see if the horse would stay 1600m. Holding him so far at the back always suggested it was a bit out of his range.

i think to put all the negatives to bed just do a screen grab and they will all hold their tongue

It would be so less challenging to just post when I thought a horse had a good chance as tipsters would do -- offering a view for every race, day in and day out is a serious challenge - sometimes not even the trainers will be confident about a competitive race. I do trust that such summaries though - do help to construct a scenario of the variables in each race.


I have often repeated that I am not tipster, I post here as a sounding board for my own strategies. I trust that the race summaries will point most with an open mind in the right direction. Very often races are not a wagering platform where you can confidently recommend anything. I posit the summaries, which far more often than not will highlight the major contenders and trust the reader will observe the betting boards and trends and come to a decision. I often am in two minds about a race, and then use the market to draw a conclusion - often minutes before the race or at the off.

I understand the frustration - since some would have someone else just post what to bet , and then follow that - unfortunately the dynamics of racing don't make that as simple as it might sound. Sadly nowhere as much as in horse racing, do we experience such raw emotions from people - losing money , or having a bad day at the races - makes most us miserable and egdy, it has and always will be like that -

When recording your selections and after the race adjustments in private - it is so easy to mislead yourself, and make constant changes upon changes. Not so when you posted your views in a public forum - there is no way of convincing yourself of anything other than what you wrote

All of these in with a chance - Mirwa was heavily backed prior - However I am taking my chances with Holy Flame in a very open race, silent dream and Alisio should also be considered here.

Scottsville for a Sunday wasn't dissapointing --- had to drag myself through the middle part there but it was all fun .

Back to the grindstone for week, and then I look forward to 16 days , in which I can focus entirely on racing.
