The Six Degrees Of Seperation

How far separated from Mr Jooste are the hundreds of owners who place their horses with smaller stables , and don't pay their fees - without any consideration to the well being of horses, or stable employee's - the dedicated trainers are using their own funds to feed and keep the horses on a daily basis, putting immense strain on the stables and trainers.

Sometimes extending to homes that cannot even put food on their table while they feed your horses!!

Would really be a hypocrisy of note if any of those are heard going on and on and on ...about their concerns for the people at large who have lost so much.

The mind boggles ----

It doesnt matter which business in the world you are in, if you dont get paid then you dont have customers but con men. And if too many cons then you are o.u.t. I have hacks and everyone pays upfront or leaves. Farriers and vets are seperate and they handle their credit each according to their own capacity.

Every race trainer in SA is a licenced entrepreneur. They have a documented record of performance and every owner according to their depth of knowledge and experience can judge each trainers' oportunity.

Never in 40 years have i seen a serious advertisement from a trainer or any organisation or grouping of trainers. I have seen many from vets, feed merchants, breeders, livery yards, doggeries, catteries, fucken 1 person b&bs. This is a poor third world country, rather cry for people who have it hard. They are everywhere with zero chance to fluke anything.

Thank you for the post, i could not understand the mentality of those that don't pay their trainers - i now have more insight into that - the perception that all trainers are well off, and have vast sums of cash reserves at their disposal - not a very solid justification for not paying your bills, neither is the fact that millions of south Africans are suffering.

Tax evasion, stealing, and non payment of bills all contribute to the woes of the masses.
