The National Horseracing Authority confirms, following its request to Mayfair Speculators, that Markus Jooste was also requested to provide information pertaining to his current affairs and how they may impact on the various horseracing and related activities that he is involved in.

Jooste has subsequently relinquished his racing colours and resigned as a member of the National Horseracing Authority with immediate effect. The NHA has accepted Jooste’s resignation as a member and cancelled his colours and privileges.

The NHA is still carefully monitoring the situation with regards to Mayfair Speculators. – NHA

Was about to ask the same question, with liquidation pending are the Mayfair horses eligible to run?

That move is nothing.Horses hardly race in his personal name.This is just a move to sway people to think that he is out of horses,in the meantime he has mayfair horses.If he was not a directer of mayfair,howcome he lead in big race winners and spoke of them , in actual fact that would mean they were under the lap if he now claims not to be a directer.People like this must just get away from racing and trainers must put their foot down.Its no use keeping horses in the hope that jooste will come right.Next year we will hear trainers crying that they never got paid for dec,jan ,feb 2018.

he stood down as director but that does not mean he sold his shares in Mayfair - Just like Wiese stood down but did not sell his shares in Steinhoff
