Incorrect Tote Favourite Declared at Plumpton

Race 2 Plumpton had the incorrect favourite declared and brought the scratched horse into the P.A
Horse#1 was a 1/6 favourite and fell during the race.This horse is still deemed a runner however when the final results were posted the winner #4 paid R11.00 A win and was declared the favourite. How is this possible?
I took this matter up with Gold Circle who in turn stated they forwarded the complaint to Phumelela and nothing has been done.This is unacceptable as we now have to get reduced dividends for incorrect favourite being posted which should have been the 1/6 favourite that fell.
My question is what verification processes are in place before making a result official?Someone needs to be held accountable for this totally unacceptable stuff up.

All they have to do is just get someone to look over the result and surely they would of thought how can a R11 horse be tote favorite in a 4 horse race.But anyways the scratching only had 56 tickets of the 10 000 live tickets so we probably talking cents here.

Same at Taunton race 7 today. Dividends still visible - 9 pays R3.10 a win and 12 pays R3.90 a win. So how can 12 be tote favourite. Also 3rd leg of Qmix 2. so will affect the winning dividend with scratchings also now qualifying.

Shocking to say the least.These okes are conning us and getting away with it.All we can do is point out there mistakes and nothing else as who is going to do anything about it?Is there not some sort of board who can regulate this and fine them or take away their license if possible so they don't carry on being incompetent?

You can do something about it...don't continue to support them :dry:

Sure Lionel but even if we take exotics with the bookmakers they go by what the tote results are so their mistakes affect everyone.

Is there anyone from Gold Circle/Phumelela on this forum that can escalate this matter for us as this comes down to two things only:
1. The automated Tote system is "Corrupt" and throwing out incorrect favourites after race is run or
2. The final numbers are manually punched in by a clerk/other and the clerk/other is manipulating the results where favourites are concerned to enable the scratched horses to come in.

This kind of scenario really puts me off racing.

I have sent various requests and still awaiting replies at this stage still work in progress

This has been done on all tote concerns posted on the ABC forum
