Guys i got the deal from them offering 40+40 gigs for R350 but the connectivity seems poor
Any with similar experiences or is there something on my side thats at fault?

They provided a Huawei router

I have had Telkom ADSL on a 10 meg line for a number of years until Jan 2017. The speeds was poor. I was only getting max 7mbps on a 10 meg line and the downtime was killing me.

When renewal time came around, I changed to LTE 50+50 gigs.
Sad to say but the speed was only slightly better than the ADSL. It progressively got worse....so much so that the ping was around 200 odd and speed was between 3 and 6 mbps.
Endless calls to the call centre did not help. Their technician eventually came to my home and performed various tests inside and outside my house. He verified that there is nothing that Telkom could do to improve those speeds.

In the meanwhile I had taken a Vodacom LTE contract (50 gigs). I have magic speeds of 40 mbps.
I am effectively paying for 2 contracts while I await foe Telkom to terminate my contract with them. Sad but true

......ADSL is a Dodo as I said on another thread.....also been having problems with Telkom line speeds and service the whole of last year....I tried to migrate to MWeb in November for uncapped data.... but to keep the Telkom ADSL line hoping that Mweb could get a better speed...then I tried to migrate the line to Mweb as Telkom were still throttling big time.....Telkom then cut my ADSL line in mid December instead of allowing me to port it to Mweb.....no line and still paying Mweb for monthly data.....dropped them too....fortunately I got 10GB mobile data free .....when I upgraded my company phone which on 4G really worked a bomb.....I then found a new fibre option for 10 bpps uncapped at under R600/month with router and connection cost included....and they say .....they are installing it today..... :woohoo:
