Racing and Comedy
7 years 4 months ago - 7 years 4 months ago
I often wonder if racing needs to laugh a bit. Everyone is so effin serious. Even my mate Louis when i call him sometimes and crack a joke it is not laughed at.
Then i look at society in general and everyone is so serious , is it stress or pressure.
Having a laugh or taking the piss as its known fondly here in the UK is part of the daily grind and it certainly makes the day go quicker.
Last night a cape based trainer posted on Facebook
"great winner today, hope he turns out half as good as his sire"
The sire was rated 112 and when i pointed out that being half as good would mean this animal would need to be rated 56 (joking) i was banned from this persons Facebook page.
Does it bother me? not really because at the end of the day being a trainer and banning owners from your social media is counter productive

I think that you got the straight red after your comments on the morality of the CTS sales. You do know that the bimbo is good mates with the man who has never missed a meal at the trough and shows it......

Lionel, the site name gives it away a bit.African Betting Clan?
Let's face it,beautiful country,fantastic wine,fishing,game reserves,table mountain and more.
There's some great guys on this site who I respect immensely.
But the country is run by crooks, your farmers don't live very long and your sense of humour has done a Lord Lucan.

DTF, it's true we have some problems, but it's not all doom and gloom. I actually quite enjoy living in SA, believe it or not.
