My interpretation would be rather than being in a stable eating and being payed for as a liability, rather if they can run and earn, they must earn towards reducing the debt

I am sure our clever lads like julius have a different interpretation?

However hope racing imagine is not damaged further, as the big guy has done a wonderful job to this stage.

Dave am I reading this correctly? The big guy? Are we referring to God almighty here? Not a great post imvho.

Dave I can only think that your brain was impaired when you wrote this. This is so apartheid era mentality that it is offensive. The people protesting have every right to their grievances, who are you to judge?

It's not ok.

No objection to peaceful protest but as we know, this does not happen, violence must be matched not ignored

My guess was he was as shocked as many and now trying to limit the damage?

He was on course. Just remember he did not commit accounting "irregularities". His previous boss might have, not him. His life is just as devastated as the many victims out there, I am sure. You might not like DB, but give the guy a break - he dit not defraud anybody.

I was only replying to a question not a case of taking sides

My initial post when the news broke was very bad for racing but never a feeling of glee and i feel much the same.

Many others have remained as if nothing ever happened and i feel ABC was always open to all opinions and views during this time.

Dave

but as a prominent voice in the racing circles of SA along with a proper following and some weight in numbers on your site. Should you not perhaps take a more affirmative view (either way) so that we all know where you stand and perhaps where the site stands.

This saga really has only justified what many predicted years ago and now as we see daily stockholm syndrome is starting to occur on this site its quite nauseating how people are staring to "accept"

Easy

This platform is here for "all" to voice an opinion and many times, bob or myself may agree or disagree with the nature of the post and have to make a call.

It's never been my intention to say "my/our way or the highway" and remove post because they don't share our views.

I am disgusted in the MJ saga but feel no bitterness against people hurt in the cross fire, and if they do get hurt by backing the "wrong horse" it was their decision at the time and it might haunt them in the future.

You feel we have a voice here, but in racing circles we are basically ignored and I am Privy to a few emails where the local press are excluded from any potential racehorse promotion.
I enjoy doing a few "scotia" posts with pics but never regard myself as a charl or Molly but my heart is in game and will always try and make a contribution to racing via the site.

I would like to correct the last paragraph to exclude the racing people of KZN ( breeders, Hollywood, Gold Cirle , trainers etc)
