Oh thank you for this....brought back such good memories of my Dad. I was a wee lad and I would look on in astonishment how he'd scream at the old black and white Telefunken TV cheering home Wolf Power especially. He loved that horse so much. Got the whole family around the TV on Durban July day and all of us would pick a fancy for fun and pit them against each other. Model Man was my pick. Great memories I'll cherish for the rest of my life.

2: were totsies
3: disrespected racing
4: hardly ever attended racing

I always find it hard to compare - so interested to know your reasoning in stating that LE and PP were not in the same league as the other greats ?

I enjoyed watching Foveros( Marcus) , Artice Cove(Coetzee) , Wolf Power(Lloyd )
