Cyrille Regis.

Rest in Peace.
Remember Cyrille,Laurie Cunningham and Brendan Batson at West Brom.
Great team and great players, first black footballers I remember from my youth.
I met Cyrille at Hayes FC,he came back one year to present a trophy at an end of season party.
He played for The Missioners before going to The Albion, straight from non-league to the top division in England.
Very strong man, great header of a ball and supposedly one of the nicest men you could meet.
If I remember rightly,Cunningham went to play for Real Madrid.

I may be incorrect but wasn't he one of the first black players to be picked for England? He famously received a bullet in the post and was subjected to monkey chants and the throwing of bananas when playing at shitholes like the Den

Because he rose above it.
Never forget your history weed unless of course you a National Front supporter, then you wish you were back in the fifties.
