Trying this trebble.

PSYCHIC R3,only danger for me would be THE GOON SHOW (Peter D)? EOW to run 3rd, then ZANADU(GARRICK)? in R4, now over 2500mtrs,only concern.. why is BERNARD on the 1 and FOURIE on ZANADU? and then, MARION BELLE in the 5th.. Penalty kick?

Got some 45-1 on the wins and 2-1 on the places!

I have Zanadu running in the 2500m maiden @ 14:25. Here's what you need to know :

1.) She is running in a maiden for all sexes so I am cautious about getting too carried away as she has only previously raced against her own sex.
2.) We targeted this race after her penultimate run as we believe she will get two miles and this is our very first opportunity to put our opinions to the test over the kind of distance we feel suits her. (Unlike horses suited to shorter distances you cannot exactly give a stayer a 3200m gallop!)
3.) Richard Fourie replaces Bernard Fay D' Herbe as the latter cannot make the weight. It is an understatement to say that I am delighted about the jockey booking as I requested him.
4.) Although I am very reluctant to comment on other horses it has been intimated to me that her stable companion may need the run. Ignore this comment if you fancy her stable mate as I may be invoking Murphy's Law & don't enjoy egg all over my face.
5.) It was great to see her go to the front in her last race as it ensured a decent pace and allowed her to use her stride. She ran all but the favourite (whom we felt would be difficult to beat) into the ground.
6.) It is a reality that the vast majority of South African horses do not stay much beyond a mile. We intend to put that to a searching test tomorrow.
7.) In her last race she showed a glimpse of 'I know what is expected of me' which I had not seen before despite the trip finding her out for finishing speed.

This is the first occasion in her career that I am going to the course quietly confident that she can win. Whether she will win is in the lap of fate but it won't be for lack of trying.

Please be aware that I do not punt my own horses.

All the best Garrick... Imo, at the weight he can ride, no better jock in SA... And in the top few in SA of any weight category....

well done Garrick getting your runner to this point ..been following her and your comments since her first run and must commend you for your honesty and transparency...

YES I believe she got a chance over this distance only but against her own sex,

2 obstacles i see..1 FUJIN (TOP JOCK ON) ran against winners & beat a few home to in that stronger race I MAKE HIM TO ONE TO BEAT.. INFACT WIL BANKER IN MY PICK6
2 3 UNRIVALLED is a MARCHFIELD (inform top jock on)who gets better over ground and is Fujin may rival to me
plus Candice has 2 other runners who she thinks will improve over this distance too... so at best i think u can run 3rd...

or i will get egg on my face...good luck anyway
