Not trying top be controversial, do you know for a fact that those horses were backed, as in real money, or someone just shortened them to create the illusion? Nine out of ten times, one can see the horse that will shorten in the betting, other than the springer.

No I can't be sure it was real money,all I can go by is seeing the betting fluctuations by the bookies.I would have thought if they think is doesn't have a chance they would increase the odds to tempt more people in betting the horse not decrease the odds as it might chase people away as they now think it's not a fair price.But I know these bookies are no fools and they have plenty tricks up their sleeves.
