This afternoon completed and went as follows..
The 1st runner we wanted 1.8 and with being around 1.9 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond under good support, we had a lay at 1.8 max. The lay went and won a battling finish, so the way it goes. Traders got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it...
The 2nd runner was a non runner, so on to the next runner...
The 3rd runner we wanted 3.2 and with being around 2.94 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.94. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......
The 4th runner we wanted 2.8 and with being that on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 2.8 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.....
The 5th runner we wanted 2.0 and with being a well supported 1.72 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 1.72 max. The lay went and won, so the gamble justified and the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....
The 6th runner we wanted 3.3, but a non runner and 6.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.16 (3.15 nearest exchange price). The price was around 3.15 on arrival and so we had a lay at 3.15. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.45 (was 3.6 before reductions) and so a chance for traders and remaining builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.......
The 7th and final runner we wanted 3.3 and with being around 2.56 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.56. The runner went and won a battling finish, so the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running, so got away with it..
WELL PLAYED/BATTLED.................(2 from the first 4 (50% went and won (1 Nr) - and 3 from the 6 (50%) in total, so another tough battle, but we did OK)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Finished level..........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and after a bit of a battle they ended up level after their 4th lay (the 6th runner) and so with only one potential lay left and now no room at all for error, they end it there at levels....
'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 1.8 max, but a poor result see them go behind early..........They then had their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.94 and a good result see them claw a chunk back...........Then came their 3rd lay (the 4th runner) at 2.8 and a good result see them break level and so 4 runner builders stop here with only one potential lay left.....
5 runner builders carried on and went to their 4th lay (the 5th runner) at 1.72, but a poor result see them go a little behind again...........They then had a 'free' lay (the 6th runner) that bought a tiny profit...........Then came their 5th and final lay (the 7th runner) at 2.56 and a poor result see them concede 1.6 targets...

1st lay £100 to win the £100 target @ 1.8 max. Result negative. Lose £80
Total bank now £320
2nd lay £106 to recoup as much of the £80 @ 2.94. Result positive. Win £55

3rd lay £187 to recoup the £25 @ 2.8. Result positive. Win £25
Total bank now £400
So with being level and only one potential lay left, it's always advised to end here with no room at all for error.

'Traders' either won, or broke level on all their trades, so well played guys..
So a tricky start never helps, but we battled back well and ended up levels, losing a little or winning, so we go into this evening with this afternoon's satchels. Speak soon..
